The day was August 5, 2019 at 5:30 pm, and 28 year old Austin Surmont was going to attempt to run a mile! Why was this such a big deal?

Well, when Austin woke up on the morning of August 5 a decade ago, he was just like many other 18-year-old teens. During the late afternoon that day, however, a freak accident occurred. Austin was severely electrocuted and nearly died. In fact, he did die, and came back. Twice! His life was changed forever!

Austin's story of perserverence, self-healing, positive attitude and his commitment to not be a victim is very inspiring.
