    About this Episode

Hey everybody, we apologize that this episode is a week late. (Well, actually only Kyle apologizes since it was his fault it was late.) Good news, our next episode will be back on schedule.

In this episode we examine the concept of Shalom. Does it just mean "peace?"

    #10 - Actual Liminal Experiences

    #10 - Actual Liminal Experiences

We made it to Episode 10, which is often the time podcasts burn out. Good news we already have episodes 11 and 12 recorded, so we'll last at least that long.

In this episode Kyle and Rob discuss some liminal experiences they have had. Then they talk about how places themselves can be liminal.

(Two small warnings: Rob does discuss some liminal experiences that occurred during his divorce. We know that divorce is often a painful experience, and we know that each divorce is unique. Please understand that Rob is discussing only his experience and his path to forgiveness. Forgiveness is a large topic we will discuss in depth at a future date. Also, Rob mentions his time in Iraq as an Army Officer. He does not mention any specifics and only shares about how he found some liminal space in the midst of deployment, but out of respect for those who may carry trauma from war we wanted you to be aware he does reference his time overseas.)

Note: We do talk a bit about AA. We are not experts about AA and only include our own observations. If you are struggling with addiction of any kind please reach out to someone for help.

#2 - Books, Board Games, and Broadcasts - (Spare, Ark Nova, Avatar 2)

Today's episode is the other side of our coin - Books, Board Games, and Broadcasts, where we look at some media and wrestle with ideas that emerge from them.

    Book: Spare

Please note that this episode was recorded before the book "Spare" was actually released in English. Information discussed is based on English language articles about the leaked Spanis version.
