    About this Episode

Welcome to another episode of Wealth Unplugged podcast! In this episode I give my key takeaways gleaned from interviewing internationally renouned author, speaker, trainer and 'Millionaire Maker', Loral Langemeier. Loral runs a multi-million dollar global coaching company and has several strings to her bow - including being a busy mother!  In our interview Loral talked about the importance of taking steps in the right sequence when looking at building wealth. Money and wealth are created the same ways they always have been, but it's about knowing what to do and when. There is more to it than visualising! She also emphasised the myth of the 'self-made' millionaire saying; "there are no self-made millionaires, only team-made". Having the right team of dedicated people around you is a key part to success... Listen to the podcast here or check out the full interview here on Feminine Wealth TV...

#22 Crowded Market to Golden Opportunity
Welcome to this week’s episode of Wealth Unplugged – the podcast where I share the key tips I pick up from guests I interview on the Feminine Wealth TV show. This week I spoke to Bec Caines, Founder & Editor of The Daily Guru, an exciting online platform for all things personal development. This is one talented lady- with over 10 years’ experience in international Event Management, as well as being a Life Coach, Writer, Speaker, Well being enthusiast, Body Language fanatic and above all, wonderfully passionate about helping people surprise themselves. We got to the root of how she managed to turn the problem of a crowded and fragmented market into a golden business opportunity. Here are my key takeouts from my chat with Bec: Takeaway #1 Business opportunity is everywhere …. even in crowded & fragmented markets. You just need to think differently about it, see it differently and from different perspectives. Often when you are new to an industry you can bring fresh eyes and experiences that could reshape that industry or concept completely and thereby unearth your golden opportunity. Takeaway #2 Be very strategic about how you build your tribe Sadly just putting your message out there and hoping the masses will come doesn’t always yield the results you want or need ! Bec was really strategic in how she built her massive fan base in 8 months flat and it involved a combination of a strong, authentic message, deep analysis of what was resonating with her audience and strategic collaborations with key influencers. Don’t leave one of these steps out … they are all needed even though some (like the analysis bit) can make a lot of people doze off ! Takeaway #3 Being purpose driven and commercially minded is the secret sauce for serious business success. Having a purpose behind your business will grow your business way more than if you’re just in it for the money but being commercially minded is absolutely vital if you want to sustain a business, we always have to consider commerciality.

    #21 Financial Signals

    #21 Financial Signals
This week’s key strategic tips have been gleaned from my Feminine Wealth TV interview with global economic strategist Dr. Pippa Malmgren. Having previously been a key adviser to The Bush Administration in the US, Dr. Malmgren currently advises some of the worlds largest investors, is an savvy femtrepreneur herself and has just authored a new book called ‘Signals’ to show the world what designer handbags, shrinking steaks and nude models can tell us about where to invest our money! The interview was packed full of seriously good investment and business strategies so it took a while to whittle it down to the 3 most important takeaways for you! Takeaway #1 – Financial ‘Signals’ are right in front of our eyes In 2007 Pippa correctly predicted the coming financial crisis and advised people to sell down their assets. Everyone at that stage thought she was totally mad and totally wrong. As her predictions came to fruition she realised she needed to find a way to show people how they could spot financial problems all by themselves simply by watching the world around them more closely. And so the book ‘Signals’ was born. Takeaway #2 – Protect yourself by staying ahead of rising prices These everyday signals that are all around us can show us where prices are going and where we need to be positioning ourselves in order to stay ahead of things. When prices are rising and we are not pricing ourselves, our products or our services appropriately then we are placing ourselves in a dangerous position of weakness. Takeaway #3 – Innovate and BE the future of the global economy Despite all the doom and gloom out there in the global economy, innovation is absolutely ripe right now. Innovation is what will lead the world out of its funk and onto prosperity. Small business is where innovation truly lives and interestingly small business is where a lot of female entrepreneurs lie. By fostering innovation then women can truly be the future of the global economy and global change.

#20 Million Dollar Months – Turning Rags into Riches

#20 Million Dollar Months – Turning Rags into Riches
Welcome to another episode of the Wealth Unplugged Podcast! Here are the 3 key tips from the interview with Jane Lu, the CEO of ShowPo, on Feminine Wealth TV. Jane Lu has been super successful in her online fashion business, already making millions with a rapidly growing tribe of raving fans. Jane went from a high powered corporate woman to a savvy woman entrepreneur in the space of just 4 years. Her success was born out of her twin obsessions of social media and fashion which she cleverly combined to build a massive following of hungry buyers. This brought her skyrocketing sales and established rock solid brand loyalty amongst her followers. Her business is continuously making its mark on the internet and giving her ongoing success in the process. Showpo is currently focused on the international market and improving the shopping experience for the Australian market. Takeaway #1 How HOT is your hustle? The difference between success and failure is hustle. You’ve got to measure how much you are willing to hustle in order to achieve success. You need to go through milestones and work really hard to get to where you want to be. You need to think about the areas you are good at and where your strength is and use this to your advantage. Hard work teamed with hustle will always pay off! Takeaway #2 Build a massive tribe. Jane Lu started her business by the idea of creating a trend in the online world. She built her tribe by creating selfies and using the hashtag #iloveshowpo that has been trending all over facebook and all other platforms. You always have to think of creative ideas on how you will establish an empire or a tribe to start with. You have to build a massive tribe first and build trust before worrying about the product that you will be promoting later on. Get a platform and showcase and promote your expertise first. Once your tribe trust you and believe in you, anything you put out in the market will be adored and a surefire success. Takeaway #3 Self-Doubt is human nature. It is totally normal to always look up to people who are a few steps ahead of you, experiencing next level success and of course making larger amounts of money. They inspire us and give us the drive to keep going. But experiencing self doubt along the way is also a part of it. It is human nature to feel this way even when we look so successful to those a few steps behind who are looking up to us. Jane was beautifully open about this in the interview and reiterated it’s something we should all remember on our journey.

#19 Inside the Mind of a Multi Media Maverick

#19 Inside the Mind of a Multi Media Maverick
Hey guys! Welcome to this week’s episode of the Wealth Unplugged podcast! Here are the key tips I took from interviewing the amazing Robyn Foyster, Founder of The Carousel, on Feminine Wealth TV this week. Robyn has been a powerhouse in the magazine industry for many years. She started her career as a journalist before moving on to magazine editor and then publisher of 8 of Australia’s most well known women’s mags. At the height of her career she decided to throw it all in and take on the entire industry by launching her own next gen multi media platform called The Carousel. This woman can tell us a think or two about success for sure ! Takeaway #1 – Watch where the future is going Just because something has been successful in the past doesn’t mean it’s going to be successful in the future. You have to keep your eye on where things are going and how the markets wants and needs are changing. Robyn saw the shift towards online, bite sized video and mobile content happening and realised the magazine industry was about to be heavily challenged. The diamonds can often be found when you stay one step ahead of this kind of change. Takeaway #2 – The ‘5 ingredient’ recipe for success in business Robyn shared with us the ‘5 key ingredients’ she has learned are key to success in business. A great idea; Money; Timing; Balls of Steel and of course ….. LUCK! It’s really important to be passionate about what you do, but there is a lot more to it than just passion. The people who just go on passion alone and expect all the rest to fall into place can get seriously burnt in business ! Takeaway #3 – Money really matters! When getting a business off the ground successfully money is super important! Usually things will take twice as long as you anticipated to get going and will cost 3 times as much. When you don’t budget for this it’s easy to see how people fail in business. The numbers never lie so don’t leave yourself wide open tot his stressful situation. Do your numbers and then double them !

#18 Money, Sex & Power – The Ultimate Connection

#18 Money, Sex & Power – The Ultimate Connection
Hey there! Welcome back to another episode of Wealth Unplugged. This week, I bring you some great tips on business and navigating the connection between money, sex and power from my Feminine Wealth TV interview with renowned sex and relationship expert Dr. Nikki Goldstein. Takeaway #1 – Let go of the ‘should be’ curse We always look at society’s norms and take that as our guide to mold our being. We take on that norm to mold ourselves into something that we are not. The only thing that we need to do is figure out what we want to do, who we want to be and where we want to be. The only person that we SHOULD BE is the person we WANT to be. In relation to business/success, we should take on the risk to do what we want and not just pursue the career that we are good at. Just because you are good at something, doesn’t mean you ‘should’ do it. Passion is very important! When you are passionate about what you are doing, the more likely you are to be successful because you LOVE what you do and not because it is what you SHOULD do. Takeaway #2 – Sell them what they want then give them what they need ! In business we often try to sell something that we know our clients need. The problem is that what people need and what they want can be totally different things! Just like a mum who hides green veggies inside of chocolate so her kids get what they need disguised as something they want, you as a business owner need to think about how you cleverly package up what your clients need into something they want and will buy ! Takeaway #3 – Money, sex and power are energetically interlinked. For women the concepts of money, sex and power have always been very masculine concepts. We tend to shy away from talking about them or admitting that we are a little put off by them. Interestingly each of these ‘energies’ come from the root chakra energy center in the body. After centuries of men dominating these areas are women less open in this particular chakra and how does that affect our ability to lead and to embrace these strong energies.

    #12 Speaking with Purpose
Welcome to another episode of Wealth Unplugged Podcast! The show where I take the diamond tips gleaned from my Feminine Wealth TV interviews and condense them into quick bites so that you can listen on the go! In this episode I go through my key takeaways from interviewing Mindset Effectiveness Expert and TEDx speaker, Pina De Rosa. The power of intention and writing things down really was hit home during this interview! Pina firmly believes (as do I) in the importance of writing down goals and putting wheels in motion. Not only should you write them down, but make sure you tell people about them! People will often become as Pina terms "soldiers of light" - meaning where you have told them of your intentions, you may find yourself introduced to people who can make them happen! Listen to the podcast here or you can check out the full interview on Feminine Wealth TV here...
