    About this Episode

Funny Uber Rides is a tightly put together production with lots of fast  paced punchy laughs. Today's podCARst is a much more organic and natural conversation between myself and 2 passengers, Chloe and Georgia. We all gradually get to know each other and eventually enjoy some funny and interesting conversation - for example, how to lose $14,000 in less than 60 seconds!

#16 Diagnosed with HIV ft. Teri Kearns

Teri Kearns was an awesome Uber passenger of mine back in 2018. Last year she was diagnosed with HIV. The story of what came after this diagnosis is a mixture of shocking, stressful, terrifying and inspirational.

If you watch the episode of Funny Uber Rides that Teri starred in, you will assume that she is somewhat of a party animal which may have been the case once upon a time but now she runs a successful marketing agency, she fights professionally in the ring and has her own podcast called Fair Bit Going On - which I was a guest on last week!

#15 Olympic Diver Uses Hypnosis to Gain Competitive Edge ft. Brittany O’Brien

Brittany O'Brien represented Australia in the 2016 Rio Olympics, competing in the 10m platform diving event. I believe Brittany represents a new wave of top performing athletes. She has not only dedicated her life to diving but also documents the process as it is happening on TikTok. We, the viewer, get to witness Brittany's ups and downs in real time, as well as the many other elements of her life which include running a business and a public social profile.
    Enjoy!

#13 I’m Going to Be a Father! Jamie Perkins Offers Me Advice

My guest today is Jamie Perkins, father of Ava and Zoe, who you may see in his vlogs over on his own youtube channel with over 1.5 million subscribers!

Jamie's fathering style reminds me of my dad's. There is a large emphasis on leading by example. He's open about getting expelled twice in high school but is proud that he changed the trajectory of his life for the better.

Jamie may have more low-key 'dad' responsibilities now but his stories about getting into the content creation world are awesome. He toured with megastar rappers like T-Pain and Macklemore as their videographers to get to where he is now.

I think you're going to get many gold nuggets of wisdom out of this podCARst. Enjoy!

#12 Going Deep With OnlyFans Star Ruby May

#12 Going Deep With OnlyFans Star Ruby May

My guest today is adult superstar Ruby May!

"Don't hate the player, hate the game." We've all heard this saying before. If you take the player out of the game, the game is still going to go ahead.

The adult industry is the oldest industry in the world because at different times in history there has been government, religion and communities that have hated the players and attempted to dismantle the game but...it just won't seem to disappear.

I wanted to have a chat with Ruby because with the rise of OnlyFans, particularly over the last few years, she is an individual who has created countless opportunities in the industry and grinds extremely hard. Pun intended.

#11 Piper Young's Worst Date EVER!

#11 Piper Young's Worst Date EVER!

My guest today is a crowd favourite, Piper Young!

I got to know Piper over our many lockdowns here in Melbourne. As some of you would know, I used make content on Omegle when I wasn't allowed to drive. Piper became one of the primary reasons why people came back every week for new episodes of 'Banter', my lockdown show.

You know, it's one thing to find willing participants to film with regularly but it's another thing to make a dear friend in the process.

Whilst on holiday over Christmas last year I road tripped up the east coast of Australia and visited Piper in Brisbane. Our podCARst begins as we make our way to a car wash to get my little banter-mobile cleaned.

As always, a special thank you to Piper for blessing us with her sense of humour and lightness.

You may not know this but she has built an epic audience on TikTok with more than 100,000 followers. I highly recommend checking it out!

#10 Can You Be Friends With an Ex? ft. Nikki Fit

#10 Can You Be Friends With an Ex? ft. Nikki Fit

My guest today is one of my nearest and dearest friends, Nikki Ruderman.

I want to introduce you all to Nikki because she represents ambition, discipline and fun really beautifully. I became close friends with Nikki about 8 years ago. I would see her regularly at gym. Any day that I went to gym, she would be there and on my off days she would also be there - lifting more than you and I combined - and usually doing it with a massive smile on her face.

As Nikki and I became best friends we began to have these incredibly thought provoking and deep conversations about life, careers and in particular, relationships. A lot of my positive attitudes towards relationships come from Nikki's insights and perspectives.

Today we dive deep into the world of commitment and dependency in relationships. Only 1 or 2 years ago, committing to someone and being dependent on them is something that I would have avoided at all costs, but now with fresh perspectives and attitudes...not so much! Enjoy the podCARst!

    #9 Blake Pavey's Make-A-Wish

    #9 Blake Pavey's Make-A-Wish

Today's guest is the inspiring comedian and TikTok star, Blake Pavey.

Blake grew up in Corowa, an Aussie country town, with a population of about 6000 people. When he was in year 11 he started to go viral regularly with his funny daily comedy sketches.

Blake has amassed an audience of over 700,000 people on TikTok. Can you imagine being in high school at 17 or 18 years old with a following like that? Let alone in a small country town?!

He was born with Cystic Fibrosis. This is a genetic disease that damages the lungs and digestive system. The average age expectancy of an individual with Cystic Fibrosis at the time of Blake's birth was about 35.

I'm a fan of Blake's work ethic and vision...most of all, though, I love that he is a man of his word!

A special Thank-Q to Blake for joining me today! To see more of Blake online check him on TikTok and Instagram:

#8 Nothing Is Off-Limits for Isaac Butterfield

#8 Nothing Is Off-Limits for Isaac Butterfield

Today's guest is the beard-bearing, Isaac Butterfield.

Isaac is an Aussie comedian who has no trouble selling out shows when he tours. A large reason for this is because he isn't afraid of speaking his mind, which sometimes means being controversial.

As I interview more and more comedians, I'm noticing a trend in the way that they see the world of comedy. First and foremost, they want to make people laugh BUT they also possess an inner child curiously wherein if they have a crazy idea for a joke, regardless of whether it is politically correct or offensive, they have to make that joke on stage.

They just have to see what happens when they say what they are thinking. The thing is, if the crowd laughs, they have to make that joke again.

When comedians get 'cancelled', you have to understand that the jokes they are telling on stage at their filmed and planned comedy special is likely the 100th time (if not more) that they have told that particular joke to an audience. It only stays in the show if it gets the laugh and to a comedian such as Isaac Butterfield, it seems like nothing is off-limits. Laughter is king.

This is the sport of stand-up comedy. Pair that with the sport that is social media and Isaac Butterfield is someone who objectively plays the game very well.

I took Isaac from a stand-up gig to his dinner plans for the evening and we got into some fantastic and even deep conversation. Enjoy!

A special Thank-Q to Isaac for joining me today! To see when he's performing in your city check out his website below:

#7 The Problem With Being Politically Correct ft. Michael Shafar

#7 The Problem With Being Politically Correct ft. Michael Shafar

Today's guest is the delightful comedian Michael Shafar.

Michael is a talented guy. He finished high school ranked in the top .05% of the state. He studied and completed law and biomedicine only to ditch it and pursue his calling of becoming a stand-up comedian. He has been performing for 8 years and is also a writer for The Project on channel 10.

Michael has been diagnosed with testicular cancer twice and beaten it twice. He dedicated his entire 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival show to raising awareness about testicular cancer. His entire hour on stage - at a comedy festival - was about his battles with cancer. I'm always impressed when people are able to bring light to a dark place. You've gotta have big ball to do that.
