    About this Episode

One thing taken for granted is breathing. If you take time to silence the chaos and learn the art of breath, you will be on your way to mastering a healthy lifestyle.

The smallest actions can give the greatest results. And breathing is one of these actions.

Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACThttp://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT

However, most of us don't sit around thinking about how we breath and telling our bodies to do something that happens automatically.

That's one of the greatest beauties about how our bodies work. It's these intricate details that give us the opportunity to live out our dreams.

So instead of getting all bent out of shape for what you haven't done for your body and health, pause and be grateful for your breath and breathe with intention.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Breathe with intention!

I am not one who pretends to have it all together. I make mistakes daily. I sell my health short too. And let me tell you, the pantry is a daily struggle for me.

Yet one thing I have learned over the decades is presence. Being present is SO important. And one way to do this is being in tune with your body.

I think of this as creating harmony. Music has been a love for my entire life. I've always had a song in my heart and my mom would say I came out talking and singing. That is one of the greatest gifts they gave me, music.

One area of music that always drew me in was harmony. And that's how I look at our bodies. We need to find the "harmony" of our bodies in the food, fitness, and function.

And the first step is the most foundational one....Breath!

Believe it or not, we all breathe! And there is an art to breathing.

A week or so back, I found myself going out to pick up some essentials at the grocery store. This was the first outing with my mask. Now understand that I am a woman always on a mission and that morning was no different. I had an early morning meeting and interview. So there was no time to dawdle.

So I made the dash into the store picking up a cart on the way. Nothing like the sunshine to kill any germs. I get in the store and my phone rings. My husband found something at home that needed my attention.

As I stood there listening, I realized I was breathing harder and hotter air. I felt the mask hug my mouth and then release upon my exhale.

For once, I was captivated by my own breath. (Plus this is when I realized I had a lot of hot air, which my husband has documented the day and time as it will go into the history books.)

There is the art of breath and it can be extremely beneficial to the harmony of your body.

    So let's breathe with intention.

    1. Find a comfortable and calm place.
    2. Sit tall as if your head is being pulled up by a string.
    3. Close your eyes and relax your shoulders.
    4. Loosen the tightness throughout your body.
    5. Focus on your breath; breathing in and out slowly and controlled.
    6. As you begin to welcome this calm, your mind might drift off. Bring your focus back to your breath.
    7. Add a thought of gratitude and praise.

You can do this for a few seconds just to start. It can be a weird feeling at first especially if you've never tried it. But as you do it throughout your day, extend the time.

I love doing this when I get frustrated or mad, or even when I'm in a situation that I need to process more calmly than a knee-jerk reaction.

The art of breath will serve your mind and body well. May harmony begin to ignite the wellbeing of your presence.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

Just imagine if we put as much effort into curating our thoughts as we do into picking winning teams. The impact could be monumental!

If you recognized what was not working for you, you could make adjustments in real-time.

So let's set you up for success every day. Create Your Now!

The K.I.S.S. ~ Create your now!

You can have a better life. But you have to be willing to put in the time, energy, and effort.

    1. Practice Mindfulness: Take a pause in your day to observe your thoughts. Mindfulness meditation can help you become more aware of your thoughts and emotions, allowing you to choose positive ones.

    2. Challenge Negative Thoughts: Just like teams face tough opponents, our minds often battle negative thoughts. Challenge them by replacing them with affirmations or thoughts of gratitude.

    3. Visualize Success: Visualization techniques are powerful tools to create a positive mindset. Imagine yourself achieving your goals, and watch how it shapes your reality.

In the words of legendary basketball coach John Wooden, “Make each day your masterpiece.” Your thoughts lay the foundation for that masterpiece.

As Coach Mike Krzyzewski wisely puts it, “What you are thinking is what you are becoming.” So, aim high with your thought bracket, and witness the transformation in your life.

And as Kristianne Wargo wisely said, "Your thoughts are the architects of your reality."

Get ready to root for the winning team - YOU!

3332 The Lord's Word is Flawless

3332 The Lord's Word is Flawless

As for God, His way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in Him. ~ Psalm 18:30

Imagine a life in which you surrender to the wisdom and sovereignty of the Almighty instead of clinging desperately to control.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

A life where you release the burdens of decision-making and embrace the peace that comes from knowing that God's way is perfect. We open ourselves to a profound transformation when we acknowledge that the Lord's word is flawless.

By relinquishing control to God, we invite His divine guidance into every aspect of our lives. We cease to rely solely on our limited understanding and instead lean on His infinite wisdom. Through prayer and reflection on His Word, we find comfort in knowing His plans for us are far greater than we could ever imagine (Jeremiah 29:11).

The K.I.S.S. ~ The Lord's Word is flawless!

In our everyday routine, giving control to God means letting go of worry and anxiety, as we trust that He is shielding us and guiding our steps. It means approaching challenges with faith and courage, knowing that His promises are true and His love never fails (Romans 8:28). It means finding joy in the midst of uncertainty, as we rest in the assurance that His way is always perfect.

"Surrendering control to God is not a sign of weakness, but a testament to our faith in His flawless plan for our lives." ~ Kristianne Wargo

May you all be inspired to let go of the illusion of control and embrace the abundant blessings of taking refuge in Him.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

3331 What If You Said Yes?

3331 What If You Said Yes?

In marriage, it's not uncommon to reach a point where taking the next step feels impossible. Change can be uncomfortable, and staying in familiar territory is easier. But what if you said yes?

Sometimes saying yes to something new can lead to growth and strengthening the bond with your partner.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

If you really stop and think about it, a thriving marriage is the foundation to an incredible life; a story you get to write every day.

But, unfortunately, we hang out too long in our comfort zones; the pain that straps us to the chair of conflict, the hurt that divides our hearts; the anger that repels the opportunity for emotional healing.

Where are you in crossing the road in your marriage?

Are you the one standing on one side, just watching as everything goes by?

Are you the one standing on that same side struggling to get across quickly so you can move on?

Or are you the one who is standing on one side, looking side to side, strategizing when it's the best time to cross to get to the other side?

Depending on the season you're in, you're the one who is complacent and waiting for life to happen to you. Or you might be in the season of rush just wanting to get it done, whatever it is. Or-- you might be in that season where what matters is your reason.

The K.I.S.S. ~ What if you said yes!

Stop playing the mind games. Stop dragging your feet trying to convince yourself of your next step.

Just ask, "What if I said yes?"

What if I was willing to put in the work? What if I found a coach or counselor that understood my position and not only helped me, but in doing so, impacted my marriage and family.

    What if I said yes?

Here are three things a spouse can do to consider taking the next step toward a better marriage:

    1. Communicate openly: Start by having an honest conversation with yourself first! Then, invite a trusted confidant to listen to where you are. Finally, when the time is right, you can invite your spouse into the conversation and share your concerns, desires, and fears. By opening up about where you stand and listening to all sides and directions, you can gain clarity and understanding. Remember, communication is key in any relationship.

    2. Take a Chance: We can do everything right in our heads, but what about our actions? So take that chance to do what's right in this season. Now, don't do it haphazardly. Use your head and your heart, and with well thought out guidance. In other words, kick anger to the curb, don't take anger with you. Anger is not your decision-maker.

    3. Create a New Butt Print: In other words, step out of your comfort zone. Embracing change often requires taking risks. Don't be afraid to try new activities, make compromises, or invest time and effort into improving your relationship. Keep in mind that growth rarely happens within the confines of your comfort zone.

As Kristianne Wargo wisely said, "A risk taken is only a risk if it fails. Otherwise, it's wisdom in motion."

Embrace the unknown and trust that taking steps towards positive change can lead to a brighter future for yourself, with your spouse, and for your family.

Remember, love is an ongoing journey that requires effort, commitment, and the willingness to evolve together. Don't let fear hold you back from saying yes to a happier, healthier marriage.

"When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too." - Paulo Coelho

    What if you said yes?

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

3330 How Are You Guiding Your Child?

3330 How Are You Guiding Your Child?

Navigating the complex terrain of parenting isn't for the faint of heart. It requires a delicate balance of nurturing guidance, respect, and establishing crucial boundaries. How are you guiding your child?

As a parent, you may often face the challenge of watching your child make decisions that deviate from what you know is best for them. While it's natural for children to test their wings and assert their independence, guiding them toward making wise choices and understanding the importance of boundaries is essential.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

Author and parenting expert Dr. Haim Ginott said, "Children are like wet cement; whatever falls on them makes an impression."

This quote succinctly captures the profound impact that parental guidance and boundaries can have on shaping children's character and behavior. By establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries, parents can instill values, foster self-discipline, and cultivate respect in their children.

Another insightful quote comes from Brene Brown, a renowned researcher and author, who stated, "Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind."

This emphasizes the importance of clear communication and setting expectations with children regarding boundaries. Parents can help children understand the importance of respect and accountability by clearly defining boundaries and the consequences of crossing them.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Establish boundaries that protect your child!

As a parent myself, I believe that establishing boundaries with children is not about control but about creating a safe and nurturing environment for growth and development.

Here are three key strategies to help parents effectively establish boundaries while respecting their child’s autonomy:

    1. Consistent Communication: Engage in open and honest discussions with your child about the importance of boundaries. Explain why certain rules exist and allow them to express their thoughts and feelings. By fostering open communication, you can create a mutual understanding and respect for boundaries.

    2. Lead by Example: Children learn by observing their parents' behavior. Model the boundaries and values you wish to instill in your child through your own actions and decisions. Show respect towards others, uphold your commitments, and demonstrate the importance of self-discipline.

    3. Encourage Independence: While setting boundaries is crucial, giving your child room to make choices and learn from their experiences is essential. Encourage independence by allowing them to make age-appropriate decisions and supporting them in taking responsibility for their actions.

Establishing boundaries with your child is a cornerstone of effective parenting. By setting clear expectations, fostering open communication, and leading by example, parents can cultivate a supportive environment that promotes growth and self-awareness in their children. Remember, boundaries are not limitations but safeguards that nurture respect, autonomy, and personal development.

"Boundaries guide us, protect us, and allow us to thrive in a world of limitless possibilities." ~ Kristianne Wargo

3329 Thread a Day of Hope

3329 Thread a Day of Hope

As author C.S. Lewis once said, "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." You can thread a day of hope using your challenges not as barriers, but as stepping stones.

Unfortunately, obstacles often present themselves as roadblocks, testing our resilience and resolve. It's easy to let past hardships color our present circumstances, clouding our vision of what lies ahead.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

However, there are new mercies every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Each day offers a new opportunity to rewrite your story, to embrace the unknown with courage and conviction. By reframing your thoughts and choosing how to respond, you can unlock moments of possibilities that may have previously seemed out of reach.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Thread a day of hope!

Renowned psychiatrist Viktor Frankl, a Holocaust survivor, penned these profound words: "When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."

Adversity may be inevitable, but your response to it is entirely within your control. By approaching difficulties with a fresh perspective, you can harness your inner strength and resilience to navigate even the darkest of times.

In the words of Kristianne Wargo, "Your past does not dictate your future; it merely shapes the path you walk today."

Embrace each moment as a chance to redefine your narrative, to learn, grow, and be who you are becoming. Remember, every step you take today lays the foundation for a brighter tomorrow.

As you face challenges old and new, may you find comfort in the knowledge that each obstacle is but a stitch in the larger tapestry of your woven life.

So embrace the journey, embrace the unknown, and may your resilience shine through as you pivot and pave the way for a future filled with endless possibilities.

    Keep moving forward.

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!" ~ Kristianne Wargo

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

3328 Is Being Healthy Worth It?

3328 Is Being Healthy Worth It?

In a society where fast food is rampant and Netflix marathons are the norm, the concept of living a healthy lifestyle can often seem like a haunting responsibility. Is being healthy worth it?

With the endless cycle of work, responsibilities, and commitments, the question arises: Is being healthy really worth it?

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

Does the effort to eat well, exercise frequently, and sleep more truly impact our lives and longevity? Let's delve into the world of health and wellness to uncover the truth behind these questions.

Research overwhelmingly supports the idea that healthy living significantly impacts not only our physical well-being but also our mental health and overall quality of life.

According to a study published in the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine, individuals who engage in regular exercise have up to a 50% reduced risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancers. Moreover, proper nutrition plays a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy weight and reducing the risk of obesity-related conditions.

One crucial aspect of healthy living that is often overlooked is the profound impact it has on our longevity. A study conducted by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health revealed that individuals who adhere to a healthy lifestyle - characterized by a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and adequate sleep - are up to 50% more likely to live longer than those who neglect these practices.

Maybe the question really should be: What is the quality of life you desire?

The K.I.S.S. ~ Define your quality of life!

To make the right decision towards embracing a healthier lifestyle, consider the following three key actions:

    1. What matters to you beyond a number?

Start small: Begin by incorporating small changes into your daily routine, such as opting for a salad instead of fries or taking a brisk walk during lunch breaks. These minor adjustments can gradually lead to more significant improvements in your overall health.

    2. Where do you need to begin your health journey?

Set Realistic Goals: Establish attainable goals that align with your personal preferences and lifestyle. Whether it's committing to a certain number of workouts per week or gradually reducing sugar intake, setting achievable targets will help you stay motivated and track your progress.

    3. Who can you surround yourself with that benefits your quality of life?

Seek Support: Surround yourself with individuals who share similar health goals and aspirations. Joining fitness classes, engaging in group activities, or seeking guidance from a healthcare professional can provide the encouragement and accountability needed to stay committed to a healthy lifestyle.

In the words of renowned nutritionist and wellness expert, Joy Bauer, "Healthy living is not about perfection, but progress."

By taking proactive steps towards prioritizing your health and well-being, you are investing in a future filled with vitality, resilience, and longevity.

Remember, the journey to a healthier you begins with a single step.

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!" ~ Kristianne Wargo

Embrace the power of choice and embark on a transformative path toward a vibrant and fulfilling life. The decision to prioritize your health is a gift that keeps on giving - both in the present moment and for years to come.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

3327 Don't Let Worry Whittle Down Your Heart

3327 Don't Let Worry Whittle Down Your Heart

In life's journey, we often encounter challenges that can weigh us down and cloud our vision. It's easy to let worry consume us, impacting our passion and drive. Don't let worry whittle down your heart.

But amidst the chaos, there lies a flicker of hope – a reminder that we hold the power to rise above it all.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

Author Mary Anne Radmacher once said, "Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow'." These words ring true as we navigate through hardships that threaten to whittle down our hearts.

It's important to remember that our passion is the compass that guides us through turbulent times. As Kristianne Wargo eloquently puts it, "Passion fuels the fire within us, igniting the path to our purpose."

When we acknowledge the power of our passion, we unlock a reservoir of strength that propels us forward, even when the road ahead seems impossible.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Don't let worry whittle down your heart!

In the words of motivational speaker Les Brown, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." This serves as a potent reminder that setbacks and failures are merely stepping stones toward success. Every stumble is an opportunity to learn, grow, and evolve into a stronger version of ourselves.

The journey towards fulfilling our dreams is often riddled with obstacles, but it is in overcoming these challenges that we discover our true potential. As poet Rumi aptly said, "The wound is the place where the Light enters you." Embrace your struggles, for they are the catalysts for transformation and growth.

"In the grand tapestry of life, each thread represents a moment of triumph, a lesson learned, and a heart filled with unwavering resolve." ~ Kristianne Wargo

Let us cultivate a mindset of resilience and unwavering faith in our abilities. As we navigate the unpredictable seas of life, let our passion be the lighthouse that guides us home.

In conclusion, remember that worry may attempt to whittle down your heart, but your passion will always reignite the flame within you.

Embrace each challenge as an opportunity for growth, and let your unwavering spirit carry you towards your dreams.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

    3326 Preparation for Tomorrow

    3326 Preparation for Tomorrow

In the words of legendary martial artist Bruce Lee, "Preparation for tomorrow is hard work today." Embrace the challenges of today to shape a brighter tomorrow.

In our hectic lives filled with routines and familiarity, stepping out of our comfort zones to make changes can feel daunting.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

"Why hold back on what you know you need to change in order to go where God has called you to go?" ~ Kristianne Wargo

It's time to take A.I.M. and prepare for the future you desire.

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Take A.I.M.!

Three Things You Can Do to Embrace Change:

    1. Embrace New Skills: This comes down to personal growth. Self-improvement is a journey that requires dedication and perseverance. By stepping out of your comfort zone and acquiring new skills or knowledge, you are investing in your future success. As Tony Robbins said, "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten."

    2. Set Clear Goals: Define your aspirations and outline a roadmap to achieve them. Without a clear vision of where you want to go, it's easy to get lost in the daily grind. By setting specific, measurable goals, you can track your progress and stay motivated. To quote Lewis Carroll, "If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there."

    3. Embrace Resilience: Change is not always easy, and setbacks are inevitable. However, it's essential to cultivate resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges. As Kristianne Wargo aptly puts it, "Strength is not measured by how much you can take, but by how much you can surrender." Embrace resilience as a tool to overcome obstacles and keep moving forward.

Remember, the choices you make today will shape the tomorrow you desire. Embrace change, set goals, and cultivate resilience to prepare for a brighter future.

CHALLENGE: Where are you in achieving your dreams? What can you do today to impact your tomorrow?

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!" ~ Kristianne Wargo

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

3325 God's Gotta Gripe with Your Grip

3325 God's Gotta Gripe with Your Grip

In the busyness of modern life, it's easy to fall into the trap of wanting to control every aspect of your existence. The desire for control can hold you back from your purpose. Have you ever thought of God's gotta gripe with your grip?

Because it may make you feel good to meticulously plan your schedule to meticulously curate your social media persona.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

Unfortunately, we do really like control, especially when we have no control over what happens to us in our every day.

But the thing is this. What happens when this desire for control becomes a barrier to your relationship with God?

Maybe you haven't even given it a second thought. Who would think God would care about our desire to control?

Well, God does care. He desires for you to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). And in doing so, that's when we truly comprehend how to trust in Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

You see, control is the barrier between you and surrendering to what God desires for you.

Do you really want to get in the way of what God has for you?

Because if you keep holding on tight to what you want, you won't be able to see what God wants for you.

The K.I.S.S. ~ God's gotta gripe with your grip!

So, at some point, you must relinquish control and let go of what's not yours to hold onto.

Your divine path can only be realized if you let God lead you.

With Easter around the corner and us in the season of Lent, I can't help but think of Galatians 2:20.

Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

You accepting Jesus Christ as your risen Lord and Savior opens up the doors of what's possible. Because with God, nothing is impossible (Mark 10:27).

But there is one thing that will stand in your way: control.

God's gotta gripe with your grip.

So when are you going to let go? When are you going to see what He is creating for you? What time of day will you meet Him face to face to understand His plans, not yours? How are you going to lead your life well, if you don't let God in?

God's gotta gripe with your grip.

Set your mind on things above, not earthly things (Colossians 3:2).

Find peace that passes all understanding not in what you know, but in whose you are.

    God loves you!

Let Him lead the way, so you can live, love, and impact!

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

3324 Ready for a Fresh Start?

3324 Ready for a Fresh Start?

In the journey of marriage, it's easy to fall into comfortable routines and take your spouse for granted. But what happens when you both are ready for a fresh start? How can you move from mundane to magic in your marriage?

It's time to recapture the love and appreciation that brought you together in the first place.

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

Why did you fall in love with your spouse in the first place?

What made you light up when you saw him?

How did you see you all as a couple in your dreams?

Where did you see yourself going together as a couple?

It's up to you and your spouse to continually keep the spark alive.

Are you a willing participant? Or would you rather be lazy?

The K.I.S.S. ~ Ready yourself for a fresh start!

One way to begin this journey is through open and honest communication. Take the time to express your feelings, concerns, and desires to your partner. This can help create a deeper understanding and connection between you both. As relationship expert John Gottman once said, "Couples who can talk about their feelings, needs, and desires in a respectful way will have a stronger bond."

Another essential step is to prioritize quality time together. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to let time slip away without truly connecting with your spouse. Make an effort to carve out moments for meaningful conversations, laughter, and shared experiences. As author Mignon McLaughlin once wrote, "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person."

Lastly, practicing gratitude can work wonders in rediscovering the beauty of your relationship. Take a moment each day to appreciate the little things your partner does, whether it's making you a cup of coffee in the morning or sending you a sweet text during the day. Gratitude can shift your perspective and foster a sense of warmth and closeness within your marriage. As Kristianne Wargo wisely said, "Gratitude is the key that unlocks a heart of love and appreciation."

Remember, a fresh start in your marriage is possible when both partners are committed to making positive changes and nurturing their bond. By communicating openly, prioritizing quality time, and practicing gratitude, you can reignite the spark and rediscover the joy of being in love.

"In a world where you can be anything, always choose to be kind." - Kristianne Wargo

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
