Also, Hannah is shaken to learn a huge thing about Adam’s life from a lesbian who tries to bite a bottlecap off a beer.

Happy Valentine’s Day, lovers! We decided to do a classic romcom that *one* of us had never seen, and drop it as a romantic, holiday bonus. So here we are, with a movie that doesn’t work on paper, but big time works on the screen: a star-making turn by Julia Roberts who has “it” more than just about anyone has ever had, Richard Gere somehow making us like a 41 year old billionaire, Hector Elizondo being an all-time hotel daddy, Jason Alexander portraying the most punchable man of all time, Laura San Giacomo as a really fun bestie and PATRICK RICHWOOD as a scene stealing elevator man. Oh, and Garry Marshall with one of the most impossible directing assignments of all time, done perfectly.

In the aftermath of Hannah’s diary revelation, Marnie & Charlie break up…or at least Charlie attempts to. That leads to Marnie going to the apartment of her boyfriend for the very first time, somehow, and doing some bargaining. Hannah takes typically awful advice from Jessa to try to F her boss “for the story,” and fails, before dropping by Adam’s only to watch him go hogwild, solo. Jessa takes an ex back to her place for a romp to make a point, and Shosh accidentally catches her and some Brooklyn goofball goin’ at it pigeonstyle by the fire escape.

Shosh (Zosia Mamet) is just happy to have a cool British friend, and does us the favor of calling out all the Sex and the City connections. Oh, and you see a butt.

Good news: this isn’t the end. We’re gonna have a season 3, but let’s sum up what happened at the end of season 2: SAMANTHA. More than we thought we’d get. A tremendously emotional Steve and Miranda scene. Then: the big dinner party. Nya getting some honor we’ve never heard of, having a sad moment, then a lot of funny/sexy stuff with Toussaint from earlier this season. LTW dealing with her miscarriage with grace and class. Che…DOES get one good joke in, so there’s a first for everything. Anthony lets down enough walls to keep his man, Charlotte gets an iPhone (we swear, that’s it for her and Harry), and Seema...is also there. She’s got tickets to Greece and five months to kill, we guess?! Carrie also looks amazing, and Aidan infuriates us in a way we never could have seen coming. 5 years?! NBD, sure pal.

The AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) are trying to keep this, and everything else creative, from ever happening again. But if those goons ever agree to anything close to reasonable working conditions for writers and actors, we’ll go to season 3 of ‘And Just Like That,’ and folks? We’re INTO it. This makes the finale much more interesting, and Kevin and Jon talk about what they now expect, what they hope to happen, and what we know so far, based on the announcments to the press.
