She is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with specialized training in breast imaging. She practices at MSK Bergen in New Jersey, as well as at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center in Manhattan

    • Consider how cognitive behavioral therapy may be modified for individuals with Williams syndrome.

    “Functional Hypothalamic Amenorrhea and PCOS - Interrelations and Differentiations”

    • Recognize that in functional hypothalamic amenorrhea (FHA) patients without polycystic ovary morphology (PCOM), decreased anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) levels do not seem to be a sign of diminished ovarian reserve (DOR)
    • Indicate that the prevalence of PCOM in FHA patients is 30-50%, so the differential diagnosis between PCOS and FHA is a very common and important one
    • Identify that women affected by FHA showing PCOM tend to reveal some characteristics of PCOS - presumably some of these women were suffering from PCOS

The lecture was established to honor Dr. Tarbell’s dedication and leadership. She was the founding Director of both the MGH Center for Faculty Development and the Office for Women’s Careers, where she was instrumental in advancing and promoting the academic careers of MGH faculty.

    “A new technology to monitor the fetus”

    The Anne Klibanski Visiting Lecture Series was created to support and advance the careers of women.     Presenter: Fiona Brownfoot, MBBS, FRANZCOG, PhD, Associate Professor of OB/GYN, University of Melbourne, Australia

    Dr. Brownfoot is an obstetrician scientist, Associate Professor, and head of the Obstetric Diagnostics and Therapeutics Group at the University of Melbourne. She heads a multidisciplinary team of physicists, chemists, and engineers. She is recognized internationally for discovering the first potential treatment for preeclampsia, metformin. Additionally, she is known for developing novel devices to better monitor the fetus, including a fetal ECG and a pH sensor for potential use in labor.

    Dr. Brenner will present on “Behavioral Health Approaches to Transdiagnostic Care with the Special Operations Forces Community.” 
    Dr. Thompson-Hollands will present on “Family-inclusive PTSD treatment for Veterans: Rationale and Recommendations for Clinicians.”

    Presenters:
    Lauren Brenner, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with Home Base, a Massachusetts General Hospital and Red Sox Foundation Program; and Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
    Johanna Thompson-Hollands, PhD, is a Staff Psychologist in the National Center for PTSD at VA Boston Healthcare System; and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

    • Provide overview of common presenting concerns and psychiatric diagnoses in Special Operations Forces service members and veterans presenting for comprehensive brain health and trauma evaluation
    • Describe recommendations for providers working with SOF and embedded support patients

    • Assess the evidence for Veterans’ willingness to involve family members in their PTSD treatment
