    • Discounts on DoorDash orders and a chat about human natureDoorDash offers discounts for large orders and conversations can reveal unexpected insights into human nature

DoorDash offers significant discounts for orders above a certain threshold, allowing customers to save money on their food deliveries. Yeah, it's a great deal! Meanwhile, we also shared some unexpected stories during our conversation, including discussions about raising kids and our fascination with the infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy. Despite his seemingly normal upbringing, Bundy became one of the most prolific serial killers in history. His charm and charisma made him particularly dangerous, as he was able to lure his victims in easily. This conversation reminded us of the complexities of human nature and the importance of being aware of our surroundings. So, whether you're ordering food or discussing intriguing topics, remember to stay informed and enjoy the journey!

    • A charismatic serial killer attended law school despite a criminal recordDespite a criminal record and mediocre test scores, Bundy manipulated his way into law school and continued to deceive and manipulate the system while facing murder charges.

Ted Bundy, a notorious serial killer, attended law school despite mediocre test scores and a criminal record. He was accepted into the University of Puget Sound Law School with recommendations from professors, but ended up representing himself in court instead of passing the bar exam. Bundy's charisma and manipulative abilities allowed him to escape prison and continue his crime spree, even while facing murder charges. He was eventually convicted and sentenced to death, but continued to deny his involvement until the end. The fascination with Bundy lies in his ability to deceive and manipulate the system, even while facing the consequences of his actions.

    • Exploring the Disturbing Actions of Serial KillersJohn Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, and Henry Lee Lucas displayed disturbing behaviors, including rape, torture, and necrophilia, and were categorized as extremely egocentric on the Evil Scale, with Bundy scoring a 17.

The discussion revolved around the disturbing behaviors and actions of infamous serial killers, such as John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, and Henry Lee Lucas. While some, like Bundy, had unique methods like murdering and raping before torturing, others, like Lucas, displayed extreme levels of sadism by having sex with dead bodies and animals. The conversation also touched upon the Evil Scale, which categorizes killers based on their level of psychopathy, with Bundy and Lucas falling under the category of extremely egocentric but not distinctly psychopathic yet, scoring a 17. The discussion left a profound impact on the speaker, who expressed being "tapped out" after learning about the horrific details of these criminals' lives. It's important to remember that these individuals' actions are not to be glorified or imitated, but rather, serve as a reminder of the depths of human depravity.

    • Serial killers' motivations and sexual desiresSerial killers' motivations include rape, torture, and necrophilia, with some having a strong sexual desire for sadism and masochism (Kinsey scale category 22). Famous serial killers like Bundy, Gein, Gacy, Dahmer, and Manson fall into this category.

Serial killers, such as Ted Bundy and Ed Gein, have varying motivations for their crimes, including rape, torture, and necrophilia. Bundy raped after murder, while Gein's primary motive was to keep souvenirs from his victims. The Kinsey scale, which measures sexual orientation, has a category for those with a strong sexual desire for sadism and masochism, with 22 being the highest. Serial killers like Leonard Lake, Charles Manson, and Tommy Lynn Sells fall into this category. Famous serial killers like John Wayne Gacy, Dennis Rader, and Jeffrey Dahmer are also on this list. While some serial killers, like Dahmer, tortured and raped their victims both alive and dead, others, like Gacy, only killed to hide evidence of their sexual crimes. The discussion also touched upon the entertainment value of discussing serial killers, with some finding it as intriguing as baseball stats. The conversation then shifted to a lighter topic, Jurassic World, with the participants expressing their opinions on the movie and its actors.

    • Jurassic World's Record-Breaking Opening WeekendJurassic World set new box office records with a $208.8 million US debut and $516.4 million global launch in its opening weekend, surpassing The Avengers as the highest-grossing opening. Internationally, it earned $315.6 million, marking the first movie to cross 500 million dollars in a single weekend. China contributed $100 million to the success.

Jurassic World shattered box office records with a $208.8 million US debut and a $516.4 million global launch in its opening weekend. The film surpassed The Avengers as the highest-grossing opening weekend in history. Internationally, Jurassic World set a new benchmark for overseas launches with $315.6 million, becoming the first movie to cross 500 million dollars in a single weekend. The Chinese market contributed significantly to the success with a massive $100 million debut. The interview with Yoshi, a podcast guest, received mixed reactions from the audience, with some appreciating his humor and others finding his comments about choking inappropriate. Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who identified as black, made headlines after being exposed, and in an interview with Matt Lauer, she acknowledged the unexpected timing of the revelation but stood by her identity.

    • Identity vs. Culture: Can You Choose Which One You Belong To?While it's understandable to identify with a culture, it's not the same as being a part of it. Authentic experiences and genetic background shape our identities, and it's important to respect others' experiences.

Cultural identification and personal identity are complex issues. The discussion revolves around the idea that someone cannot claim to be a part of a culture or identity they were not born into, despite their deep connection or interest. This was explored through the example of a white woman who identifies as black, and the comparison was drawn to Caitlyn Jenner's transition. The participants in the discussion believed that while it's understandable to identify with a culture, it's not the same as actually being a part of it. They argued that the woman in question was "cherry-picking" the positive aspects of black culture without experiencing the struggles and prejudices that come with it. The conversation also touched on the idea that people cannot simply choose their identity, and that experiences and genes play a significant role. The discussion ended with the idea that it's important to respect the authentic experiences of individuals and not try to "whitewash" their accomplishments or identities.

    • A woman's journey of self-identityRespect individual self-identification, acknowledging complexities and nuances of identity, and recognize the importance of being true to oneself despite external perceptions and expectations.

Self-identity is a complex and personal journey that can evolve over time. The discussion highlights a woman's experience of identifying as African American from a young age and later being identified as biracial by others. She acknowledges the complexity of her identity and the challenges of being true to herself while dealing with external perceptions and expectations. The conversation also touches upon the controversial topic of white individuals identifying as black and the implications of authenticity and representation. Ultimately, the conversation underscores the importance of respecting individual self-identification and recognizing the nuances and complexities of identity.

Bryce announced his retirement from the show, and during their interview, he expressed his desire to move on from being typecasted and explore new opportunities. Matt Lauer's racial insensitivity towards Bryce during an interview was also discussed, with Bryce expressing his disappointment and wishing for more respect. The conversation touched upon themes of aging, identity, and the desire for new experiences. Bryce's retirement marks the end of "Gigolos" season 6, and he has plans to invest in various businesses and possibly do more TV work. The conversation highlighted the importance of staying true to oneself and pursuing new adventures in life.

Bryce, the speaker, shares that he's had a profound internal struggle while engaging in this line of work. He has felt deep connections with some clients, which could lead to emotional pain when parting ways. Despite the challenges, he learned valuable lessons about empathy and understanding people's emotions. For those interested in becoming a gigolo, Bryce suggests starting with creating a personal website to showcase oneself and potentially connect with clients. However, he emphasizes that the emotional aspects of the work are significant and should be considered carefully.

    • Unexpected opportunities from unconventional pathsBe open to new experiences and unexpected opportunities, even if they come from unconventional paths. Embrace them and learn from the challenges they bring.

Sometimes opportunities come unexpectedly, even from unconventional paths. The speaker shares his experience of traveling the world and being discovered by a reality TV show for his work as a straight male escort. He emphasizes that he didn't actively seek out the role but was contacted by the show's producers. He also discusses the realities of the job, including dealing with jealous partners and the potential dangers involved. Despite the challenges, the show brought him significant business, but he eventually became more selective as his financial situation improved. Overall, the speaker's story highlights the importance of being open to new experiences and the unexpected twists and turns that life can bring.

The production of sex scenes in their show involves a balance between realism and network guidelines. They cannot show penetration or explicit genitalia, but they can show simulated or suggestive scenes. The actors have encountered various unusual requests during their careers, ranging from bizarre locations to unconventional sexual acts. One memorable experience involved a group of women in Ukraine who requested golden showers. He emphasized that his clients were always high-end individuals and that he was selective. Brace also mentioned that he never asked or was asked to eat his own semen and never feared STDs due to protection. He shared that he had a different relationship with each of his colleagues and that Nick Hawk, a fellow gigolo, is now trying country music. The conversation also touched upon a tragic news clip about a man with shaved eyebrows and green makeup, which was seen as a clear marker of insanity. Brace's final season as a gigolo is approaching, leaving uncertainty about his future.

    • Social media fame leads to arrest for a manSocial media can bring unexpected fame and attention, but it can also have negative consequences, including legal issues.

The viral video of Courtney Barnes, a 24-year-old man who gained fame from a video of him at the scene of an accident, led to his arrest for outstanding warrants. Barnes, who has a flamboyant personality and has made appearances on TV shows, became an overnight sensation on social media, but his newfound fame also attracted the attention of law enforcement. The incident highlights how social media can quickly elevate individuals to celebrity status, but it can also have consequences. The discussion also revealed Barnes' past experiences with the limelight and his attempts to promote himself. The conversation ended with some light-hearted moments, but the overall tone was informative and insightful.

    Solomon Asks for Wisdom

    Solomon Asks for Wisdom

This week’s passage is 1 Kings 3:1-15. How perspective on this story can changed for Sally. Solomon going to God while he is in the middle of it a lot going on. The humility of Solomon contrasts with Adonijah’s pride. God giving Solomon his request and everything else he could have asked for. Matthew 6:33, we are not to worry but we are to seek the Kingdom of God. Doing the work of remaining humble in God’s presence always going to God for the next step, how to deal with people, how to handle circumstances. God’s promise to Abraham coming true as Solomon describes Israel as a nation to great to count. Our hearts are to be for people not performance or our idea of perfection.

A Father’s Prayer for His Son

A Father’s Prayer for His Son

Psalm Sunday returns with Psalms 72. This Psalm is David’s prayer for his son Solomon. The heart behind this prayer is for his child to know the Lord and remain close to his heart. This Psalm can be read as a description of how God would reign on earth. The love of justice being right and fair, fruitful, everlasting, and widespread. Absolute power corrupts absolutely because of selfish human nature. 2 Chronicles 1:7 God appearing to Solomon and Solomon asks for wisdom. When we follow after God, we can help bring the kingdom of heaven to the earth. Even with all the wisdom Solomon had, he still fell short. We fall short but God rescues us. God is for us, He is with us, He always sees what we are going through. God has you, God has saved you, God has rescued you, God is continuing to carry you, God is faithful to finish the good work He started which is to save you, and you can trust Him.
