6. First show for 2020, New World Series Format, Jovi Ong on Athlete Development and Recovery

The boys are back for a 2nd season! On this episode they catch up for the first time in months. And they had plenty to discuss. Pay cuts, the World Series Dream Team, NRLW and some of their famous ideas are all on the agenda.

This week on Stairway to Sevens, the boys have a look at the shakeup and turnover of players at Rugby Australia. Additionally they discuss the business of sport, decentralising the 7s programs and the Aon Uni7s Series finds a new home in the Calendar.

This week on Stairway to 7s, the boys are joined once again by Jovi Ong. They take a deep look at the early years on the Women's Sevens World Series and paint a picture of everything that had happened in the lead up to the Olympics. Finally, they break down the game and discuss how 7s could be the thing that reignites some love for Rugby in Australia.

This week on the Stairway to 7s Podcast Liam and James speculate about the return of Rugby. They also discuss how being locked together in isolation has affected their ability to host the show professionally. And later in the show they're joined by Jasmine Joyce to discuss all things Great British and Welsh Rugby 7s.

This week on the Stairway To Sevens Podcast, Liam and James catch-up with Nadine Roos of the South African Women's Rugby 7s Team. Nadine gives the boys an insight into the teams day-to-day as well as some hard-hitting news about the current challenges the South African Women's team is facing. She also provides some great insight into her Rugby journey. Finally, the boys also discuss the new Olympic window, the current state of Rugby generally and their hope that when things return to normal the supporters will come out of the woodwork.

This week the boys are joined by USA Eagles Women's 7s Co-Captain Abby Gustaitis. They discuss how Coronavirus is impacting not only 7s but sports worldwide, its potential impact on the Olympics and the possible implications for the athletes. They also discuss youth girls sports in Australia vs USA and of course the upcoming Langford 7s.

This week the boys take a brief look at some domestic 7s tournaments and recap the results. Later in the show they're joined by UC7s Alumni and Aussie 7s player Yasmin Meakes. She discusses her road to the Aussie 7s team and what she thinks will be the keys to winning another gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

This Week Liam and James discuss the flow-on effect the cancellation of the Hong Kong 7s will have on the Aon Uni7s Series, the Global Repechage, and the end of the World Series. And, they pick their Olympic Team for Tokyo in July.

Liam and James went up to Sydney this weekend to take in the Sydney 7s and breakdown everything they took in. They discuss the dream team and some the views that some of the athletes shared about the format change. Finally James' throws Liam a curve ball with his new fun stats segment.
