Dr. Kit Yates is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences and co-director of the Centre for Mathematical Biology at the University of Bath. His latest book, The Math of Life and Death: 7 Mathematical Principles That Shape Our Lives, is an equation-free look at how mathematics governs every aspect of the world around us.
