    Guest Appearance: The Local Maximum

On Episode 92 I had the pleasure of speaking with Max Sklar. He's a software engineer, with a focus on machine learning, content discovery, and Bayesian inference - all of which we talk about during his episode. He's also the host of The Local Maximum podcast.

Max's podcast appeals to me because it touches on a wide array of complex topics in nuanced, digestible ways. Like the intricacies of intellectual property or quantum computing, even the faults of and potential fixes for US Constitution. Max has a seemingly insatiable curiosity, an addiction to learning new things, and he's a generous host. So it was an honor to be his guest on The Local Maximum, and I'd like to share our conversation with you. We went to some provocative and at times deeply personal places - parts of my story I've never discussed this in-depth before. So I hope you enjoy our chat, and I highly recommend checking out additional episodes of The Local Maximum, available on your podcast player of choice, and at localmaximum.substack.com.

Over the past five years, he has hosted many discussions and debates with top engineers, authors, and entrepreneurs.
