The 5th Down: EMERGENCY DAY 2 FREE AGENCY POD!! (Offense Only)
In two days, we've gotten so much free agency movement, that we had to split up all the news between Offense and Defense for this AND next week's pods.
SO, on today's episode we'll be diving into all of the pertinent offensive players on the move as of today 3/12/24, including:
⁃ Atlanta adding QB Kirk Cousins and WR Darnell Mooney after moving on from HC Arthur Smith.
⁃ Cleveland trading for WR Jerry Jeudy ending his tenure in Denver.
⁃ Cincinnatti signing RB Zach Moss and TE Mike Gesicki after trading RB Joe Mixon to the Houston Texans and amid rumors that Franchise-Tagged WR Tee Higgins wants a trade.
⁃ Baltimore snagging RB "King" Derrick Henry in free agency
⁃ Pittsburgh signing QB Russell Wilson and trading WR Diontae Johnson.
⁃ Minnesota signing RB Aaron Jones and QB Sam Darnold after losing Kirk Cousins to Atlanta.
⁃ New England signing RB Antonio Gibson, QB Jacoby Brissett, TE Chukwuma Okorafor, and TE Austin Hooper after trading Mac Jones. They will also seemingly target a franchise QB at #3 in the draft with Drake Maye being the heavy favorite.
⁃ Las Vegas signing QB Gardner Minshew as their new stop-gap amid the recent release of QB Jimmy G.
⁃ Washington adding Kliff Kingsbury at OC, Veteran TE Zac Ertz, RB Austin Ekeler, and Backup QB Marcus Mariota, while also looking to draft their franchise QB at #2, as well as possibly trading QB Sam Howell.
⁃ Green Bay adding RB Josh Jacobs to bolster their young squad.
⁃ Philadelphia signing Division rival, RB Saquon Barkley to a long-term deal.
⁃ Jacksonville signing WR Gabe Davis and C Mitch Morse away from Buffalo.
⁃ Chicago signing RB De’Andre Swift and TE Gerald Everett after losing Darnell Mooney in Free Agency. Also, heavily rumored to be looking to trade down in a move for #1 Overall WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and "sticking with" current QB Justin Fields.
⁃ New York Giants signing journeyman RB Devin Singletary.
⁃ Tennessee signing RB Tony Pollard to pair with RB Tyjae Spears.
