ANGELO SCALICI - EPISODE 030 - DJ MENTOR'S UNIVERSAL RHYTHM SESSIONS

Angelo Scalici’s career began as an open format DJ in 2005, performing in various night clubs through-out the Tri-State Area, originating from New York City. Scalici’s interest for music was realized with his production of “mashups” and remixes that were made available via niche sites. Little did he know his interest for “House” music, would lead him in becoming what he is today. Attending various nightclubs
and venues inspired Angelo in applying certain concepts to his style. With performances in venues such
as “Pacha” in New York City and “The Lady Silvia” in Las Vegas, it is no question that his passion depends on “Big Room” sounds including sub-genres known as Deep, Tech & Soulful House.

Producing was always a “hobby” in Scalici’s world until he released his first official original recording in 2010 under Flava Music Records. “La Mosca” became a hit single which would lead to the syndication of
Scalici’s career, placing his recordings under various sites such as Beatport, Trackitdown, iTunes, & many more. Since his first hit, he has recorded several other tracks along with his personal favorite “Rock This Drum” which was released in 2012 for Miami Music Week, also featured during the Winter Music
Conference and heard in various countries such as the U.S., Italy and Spain. His work has also been featured on various Artist Charts, Record Pools & radio stations.

Mentioned earlier was Angelo’s affiliation under Flava Music Records, in which he places a distinctive rank throughout it’s Beatport Label Chart, hitting at #1. Along with that, he has released records under High Sound Music Label located in Italy/Germany. In September 2012, Scalici founded ProMode
Records. Currently he is working on it’s first release that will be called the “Damsalon EP”, containing both an “Original Ibiza Sunset” & “Miami Rave” mix. Today, Angelo Scalici continues his career as one of
the world’s most well known DJ & Music Producer.
