Welcome Back! It has been too long so if you missed us we are back and here to bring you the lovely sounds of The Innocence Mission. We are deeply saddened with the passing of Sinead O'Connor. To remember her we are re-releasing the episode we put out in February 2021 when Melissa professed her true love for Sinead and talked about some of the lesser known, but certainly not lesser sounding songs. Melissa focused on her work as a musician and her substantial influence on somebody...who is the main host of this podcast...and don't fear we also got into some great songs that you will be familiar with. Remember Sinead, listen to her beutiful music, and know that she will be loved forever.

You would think we'd come back with a BANG...but this week we are back with a quiet infinity guitar, strings and the synth sounds of "Sleeps With Fishes". The collaborative project of Pieter Nooten from Clan of Xymox and producer, inventor, guitarist Michael Brook. From the 4AD camp this collaboration created the album "Sleeps With Fishes" and in this episode Melissa takes us through some of her favorite tracks. This week, Peter gosh darn Gabriel! Maybe not the most obscure artist but definitely had a huge impact on so many with his unique solo beginnings. Melissa brings us his first 4 albums, confusingly all titled "Peter Gabriel" but don't worry Melissa helps Bryan understand the unique differences between each album. Culminating into his sound track work and current albums. This is a biggie! There are biggie hearts! As always, most certainly 1000%, listen to the mix. These songs and albums deserve a full listen!

Long time no listen? Well...we're back and it's number 60!! This week Melissa brings us the band Cranes. The brother sister duo from Portsmouth, England. At times they are dark and at times they are bright but at all times they are brining the noise. This is one of Melissa's favorites from the early 90's and she brings us a nice sampeling of Cranes music that spans their varied sound. As always please check out the mix linked here.

The holidays are over, it's a new year, and whattya know here's a new episode! This go around Melissa brings the multi-instrumentalist genius of Lisa Germano. We get into her eclectic catalog from her early 90's albums to her last in 2013. Ms. Germano brings the light and the dark and we are better for it. Now here's an I Already Told You That first bringing an all new feature...a GAME SHOW! Bryan kind of already knows Galaxie 500 but he really doesn't...he sort of knows the other band that the lead singer/guitar person was in, called "Luna"...but even then he is not so sure. So to test his knowledge after listening to a whole shows worth of songs, Melissa will put Bryan's knowledge to the test in the game, "Is this Luna or is this Galaxie 500??". Fun times are had by all and the super warm and fuzzy tones of Galaxie 500 were enjoyed all the way through. As always please check out the mix linked below!!
