At sixteen, she became pregnant and with a great amount of reluctance and soul searching, chose adoption for her baby. There is never a day when she doesn’t think about her daughter and wonder if she is happy and well.

Lise, the baby Cassie placed, was adopted by two loving parents. However, in spite of their love, she has feelings of abandonment and suffers from depression. Starting in her early teens, she turns to alcohol to cope with her negative feelings.
Although reluctant, Cassie senses an urging from her heavenly Father to search for her daughter. However, Lise does not want any contact with Cassie. But when she’s attacked and raped while drunk, things spin out of control and she calls her biological mother to help.

Through a long, slow process, they both come to know that for whatever bad choices they’ve made, God has provided an abundance of grace.

    Author Ashley Worrell

Admittedly, although I enjoy a good romance story, I’m not a fan of medieval times. Ashely Worrell’s historical romance, The Radiance of the Moon is going to change that. This is her debut novel and Book 1 in The Hebridean Shield Series. It’s no surprise it made it to the semi-finals in the ACFW Genesis Contest.

This indie-published novel, which was written via dreams the Lord gave Ashley, will release on February 27th. It will also be available on Kindle Unlimited. Be sure and pre-order you copy today. I have no doubt you won’t be disappointed.

The year is 1383, and the Wolf of Badenoch has conducted a terroristic campaign across the highlands to increase his wealth and land holdings. Now he's turned his sights from Scotland to the Kingdom of the Isles. Seeking to keep the Wolf’s superior fighting forces out of his island nation, the King of the Isles turns to Chieftain Hector MacLean for help.

A survivor of the Hundred Years’ War, Hector’s reputation precedes him. Brutal, clever, perhaps the greatest warrior Scotland or the Isles has ever produced—as if the man has a gift for killing. But after changing his life, Hector has no interest in returning to his old ways. As an alternative to war, he agrees to forge a marriage alliance with one of the Wolf’s allies, hoping to gain their fidelity and protect his family and clan.

After surviving a brutal first marriage, young Irish widow Cara O’Ballevan arrives in Lochbuie Clan Territory, her sole prayer to make a peaceful home with the MacLeans, but the clan is wary of her as an outsider. After praying for help, she happens upon a kind man beneath a bright moon, unaware that he is the chieftain and soon to be betrothed to another. Over a series of meetings, Hector and Cara help one another, encourage one another, and begin to come to terms with a past they’re both trying to leave behind.

When Cara faces a threat during a clan dispute, Hector discovers that the deadly combatant he used to be isn’t gone, but lurking just beneath the surface. This time, the lethal warrior within him takes up watch over Cara. As her gentle spirit roots deep into his heart, Hector knows she can never become his wife. A future with her could only lead to war and disgrace. Yet he cannot stop himself from falling in love with the one God entrusted to him – the woman he isn't supposed to marry.

Her novella, Muldoon’s Minnesota Darling is available on Amazon

A heartsore widower with hidden fears and little faith...
The naïve daughter of a farmer guarding a repulsive secret...
A township unaware of the hidden menace amongst them...

    New York City, 1867
Heartbroken from losing his family and his farm, Mick Muldoon is hopeful as he emigrates to America with his siblings. All he finds is despair and no work. Were America’s rumored promises of plenty all lies? Would God ever hear and answer his prayers?
    Minnesota, 1867
Seventeen-year-old Shauna McGann is determined to marry Mick Muldoon despite her mother’s objections. His past and his limp might repulse others, but not her. What burdens Shauna is her terrible secret—a secret she promised her friends she would keep. Now Shauna needs help and protection. Could she trust Mick, or will she lose everything by telling him?

Will Mick finally be free of loss and find success in America? Will Shauna overcome her fears and finally feel safe?

In this Muldoon’s Misfortunes prelude novella, author E.V. Sparrow creates a provoking tale of flickering faith and enduring hope through an emigrant’s efforts to adapt, and a young woman’s unprejudiced love.

    Author Janetta Fudge Messmer

Turning Life into Comedy is Janetta Fudge Messmer’s tagline. The genre she writes in is Christian Comedy (with a touch of Romance). Janetta also writes devotionals since life on the road in a camper gives her plenty of material. When she’s not writing, she teaches classes on how to “Tell Your Story.” The inspiration for the class came when she asked her mother questions about her life. Janetta, her hubby (Ray), and their pooch (Maggie) are full-time RVers. Most days, you’ll find them out sightseeing…but first Janetta has to sit down and write a few words.

Back Cover for An Unexpected Christmas Gift:

Breanna Snow owns the Snowed Inn B&B outside of Boulder, Colorado. And the city manager, Matthew Jacobson, is irritating the socks off of her. The Go-By-The-Book-Kind-Of-Guy wants to shut her bed and breakfast down. And Bree has no clue why.

But she doesn’t have time for Mr. Jacobson’s nonsense. She’s getting married. However, a tiny hiccup occurs while she’s trying on her wedding dress. It literally turns her world upside down. And to her dismay, the city manager is right in the middle of it.

Will the mortal enemies find a way to work things out before her B&B closes? Or will they die trying? And can a random act of kindness from years ago change her heart to hear the truth?

Back cover for Rekindled for Christmas Eve:

Reese Solomon retires from the Navy and returns to Annapolis, Maryland—the place where Madison Pointer broke his heart. He’s not worried about rekindling anything with her because she’s married.

A week after Reese arrives in town, he finds a letter with a picture telling him he’s a father. The two meet, and Kim and Reese both agree it’s a God thing. And for the time being, his daughter wants to keep the news of Reese relocating to Annapolis from her mother.

However, Madison finds out he’s back in town. And she wants nothing to do with him. Even though she’s a widow, her thinking is that too many years have gone by. There’s no chance of her rekindling anything with Reese. Where was he when she needed him twenty-plus years ago?

And the so-called miracles Reese and her family speak of are driving Madison nuts. Will she continue to believe the lies, or will she allow the past to convince her of the truth and trust in the Lord and Reese again?
