    Creating the Life You've Imagined featuring Clarissa Castillo-Ramsey, PsyD - Episode 67

    Dr. Clarissa Castillo-Ramsey is a multi-passion entrepreneur (leadership & life coach, practicing abstract artist, author, and organizational psychologist). She’s been an artist since she was 5. Clarissa's passion for coaching can be traced back to her childhood and young adult days. She was the friend people would go to for advice, counsel, and encouragement. Clarissa is also the author of the book Painting Your Path, 21 Interviews with Extraordinary Women and journal Painting Your Path Writing Journal. She incorporates her Painting Your Path framework with her clients, who seek to define or re-define their path in life, whether to branch out on their own or get back to their creative self. This framework is what she’s used in her life to achieve her visions, dreams, goals. Clarissa is also the creator of From Employee to Creative Entrepreneur, a free summit to help individuals create their roadmap to become their own boss.

    Formal Education: Clarissa finished her doctorate at the California School of Professional Psychology, with a focus on Organizational Development. Her dissertation is titled Coaching from the Inside Out: Exploring internal coaching practices in organizations. In addition, she received coaching training at CTI, The Coaches Training Institute in Los Angeles. She also holds a certificate of holistic healing program at the Optimum Health Institute.

     

    Clarissa joins us today to talk about chasing your dreams. She reflects on leaving her job to venture out and go back to her first love, which is art. She tells us how she’s now coaching other people to do the same, quit their 9-5, and follow their passions.     Terry Banks specializes in guiding professionals to efficiently manage their finances so that they can shift from being frustrated with living paycheck to paycheck to achieving their definition of financial freedom.     Miss Jai Smith (she/her/hers/he/him/his) is a gender non-binary, queer, poly, kinkster, and educator for gender-affirming care and transgender and non-binary sexual health. She holds a Master of Public with a focus on health and wellness for Transgender and Non-binary communities. He has over a decade of experience working in the fields of HIV prevention and medical care and has developed and facilitated trainings on supporting Transgender and Non-binary people for providers at local, state, regional, and national levels. Additionally, she provides technical assistance in supporting Transgender and Non-binary people to private and public healthcare agencies and community-based organizations and works with state health agencies on gender-inclusive surveillance and data collection. He runs a weekly question-and-answer live show called Ask Miss Jai, which focuses on sexual and relationship health education for Transgender and Non-binary people and tips for health providers on how to build supportive environments for Transgender and Non-binary patients, clients, and colleagues. 

     

    Her purpose is to uplift and celebrate the lives of her Transgender and Non-binary siblings and forge avenues for us all to thrive and experience our maximum health potential. Today, we talk all about that and more, including Miss Jai’s advice for people who are looking to get into the work and for organizations who want to serve the community.
