Vanessa Briscoe Hay is Athens Georgia music royalty. Her “first-wave” band PYLON helped create the Athens music scene and heavily influenced the 80’s & 90’s American pop underground. AllMusic wrote that Pylon's "role as elder statesmen of the alternative rock explosion is unassailable”. 
Along with R.E.M. and the B-52’s, Pylon is part of the “Big Three of Athens Music” and were among the first artists to be enshrined on the new Athens Music Walk of Fame. 
And Vanessa keeps the heart and soul of PYLON music moving into the future with her new band, the Pylon Reenactment Society. From their new debut album "Magnet Factory”, to her definitive PYLON collection simply titled “BOX”, to a scorching track on the upcoming Kevn Kinney Tribute Album - Hay is keeping her foundational music in a leadership role. 
She’s still an Athens resident who never misses a Dawgs game and is a life-long Braves fan, too! And it’s an incredible honor to have her join us today - Vanessa Briscoe Hay, welcome to Braves Country!

Military Brat from Virginia who went to the College of William and Mary! You
know him from movies like Zoolander, Starsky and Hutch, and the voice
of ‘Remy’ the rat in Pixar’s Oscar-winning movie, Ratatouille; and from TV Shows
like Parks and Recreation, The King of Queens, The Goldberg's and even an
appearance on Seinfeld!

This October, he’s bringing his stand-up comedy home to the South on
his “Effervescent” tour which features some very special stops throughout
Braves Country; Wednesday October 18th Patton Oswalt returns to the 40 Watt
Club in Athens, Georgia and he stops by the City Winery in Atlanta on Friday
October 20th and Nashville on Saturday October 21st.
Oswalt is returning to Athens to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of his first
comedy album, “Feelin’ Kinda Patton” which was recorded at the 40 Watt Club.
And we hear that the Mayor of Athens is going to present him with the Key
To The City!

Everything about the Devon Worley Band makes you think of the South! Big classic guitar riffs and a soulful female lead singer belting out anthems! They’ve even shared the stage with bands like Whiskey Myers and Lynyrd Skynyrd. However, these up-and-coming-Country-Rockers are really from Minneapolis, Minnesota...We’ve heard great things about this new band and they’re playing Smith’s Olde Bar this Thursday September 14th along with Atlanta’s own Dave Franklin and Nelson Nolen; so we had to get Ms. Devon Worley on the phone to invite music fans to join us for their big Atlanta debut… Devon Worley - Welcome to Braves Country!

Fresh & Raw Tour is BACK at The Shack! We are turning up the volume and bringing the Nashville music party to you Saturday 9.16 from 6p-9p. This Nashville singer/songwriter concert will feature NBC's The Voice finalist and hit singer/songwriter Barrett Baber and current viral Nashville singer/songwriter Taylor Goyette.
