Charles Springfield is the author of "The Less is More Approach to Wine". We talk about how this book came about and its purpose as an introductory book that does not skimp on the details while still making sure not to overwhelming the reader. 
Charles has spent over 10 years in the wine business primarily as an educator but has also worked in retail doing just about every job there is from sales person to wine buyer to manager. His background as a journalist has given him a unique perspective on the topic of wine and a developed and mature voice for a first time author. We talking about everything from sparkling wine, white wine, desert wine, wine educations, entrepreneurship and much more. 

Dan Eckman is the northeast regional manager for Catoctin Creek distillery. We discuss his journey into the alcohol industry by way of cigar sales in a post smoking ban New York City. Dan started moving boxes in retail and soon went into brand work, working for large distributors as well as brokering for small independent producers. He has worked with brands like Glenfarclas, Famous Grouse,  Hacienda de Chihuahua, and many others.
