    • Harness the power of momentumBe conscious of where we focus our energy and attention to create and direct momentum in our lives for greater productivity and success

Momentum is a powerful force that we can control and harness to make our lives easier and more productive. It's not a magical force that comes and goes, but something we can create and direct at will. To do this, we need to be conscious of where we focus our energy and attention. When we're in the zone and things are easy, we should use that momentum to propel us forward, rather than getting complacent. And when we're struggling, we can use the same principles to create momentum and get back on track. The most successful people understand this and use it to their advantage.

    • Focus on benefits, not workShifting focus to benefits can help regain momentum and productivity, even when feeling unmotivated. Train mind to stay focused on positive outcomes.

Maintaining focus on the benefits of your work, rather than the work itself, can help you regain momentum and productivity, even when you're feeling unmotivated or sluggish. This concept applies to various aspects of life, including work, dieting, and personal goals. By shifting your focus to the positive outcomes, you can make the process seem less daunting and more rewarding. This requires intentional effort to train your mind to stay focused on the benefits, rather than the challenges. Olympians, for example, don't focus on the years of training required to reach the top, but rather on the feeling of holding the gold medal. Similarly, in a business setting, focusing on the value you add to the company, rather than the menial tasks, can help you stay motivated and engaged.

    • Shifting focus to benefitsRecognize negative thought patterns, shift focus to benefits, identify what's important, celebrate small victories to build momentum

Mastering the ability to focus on the benefits rather than the negatives during work or challenging situations is crucial for creating momentum. This requires recognizing and interrupting negative thought patterns and shifting focus to the benefits. Additionally, identifying what's important in life and what can be controlled can help maintain focus during difficult times. Celebrating small victories and getting enthusiastic about them can also help build momentum. Remember, even when you don't feel like doing something, pushing through the physical motions can lead to the momentum coming to you.

    • Impact of physical actions on mental stateRecognizing our ability to control physical actions can lead to improved mood and productivity

Our physical actions can significantly impact our mental state. When we force ourselves to engage in activities we don't feel like doing, such as working out or making calls, we can turn our mood around and create positive momentum. This is not magic but rather a connection between our physiological movements and brain function. By recognizing our ability to control this momentum, we can harness its power to improve our mindset and productivity. So next time you're feeling unmotivated, remember the gym example - even if you don't feel like it, pushing through and completing the task can lead to a positive outcome.

    • Start your day with positive practicesExpressing gratitude, learning new things, and physical activity set a positive momentum for the day. Avoiding negativity in morning consumption boosts confidence and productivity.

Starting your day with positive practices can significantly impact your emotional state and overall productivity. This can include expressing gratitude, reading or learning something new, and engaging in physical activity. By doing so, you're setting yourself up for a positive momentum that can carry throughout the day. Additionally, being mindful of the things you consume first thing in the morning, such as social media, can help avoid negativity and annoyance that may hinder your day. By taking control of these habits, you're able to cultivate a sense of confidence and gratitude, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and successful day.

    • Focus on daily wins for creating momentumFocus on small daily victories to build momentum, respond to criticism or obstacles with positive routines, and project enthusiasm for better relationships and growth.

Creating momentum in life and work is essential for success. Instead of trying to achieve grand victories all at once, focus on making small wins each day. When faced with criticism or obstacles, respond by setting up daily routines that put you in the best state for productivity with the least amount of effort. This approach not only helps you but also projects positive energy to those around you, leading to better relationships and increased sales or business growth. Remember, genuine enthusiasm is contagious and can make a significant difference in your personal and professional life.

    • Harnessing Enthusiasm for SuccessFocusing on end results, forcing momentum, setting daily routines, surrounding oneself with enthusiastic people, and avoiding energy vampires boosts focus, attention, pride, sales, attractiveness, and potential promotions.

Enthusiasm and positive momentum are crucial for personal and professional success. Controlling momentum involves focusing on the end result, forcing it when needed, and setting up daily routines that create natural momentum. Surrounding oneself with enthusiastic people and avoiding energy vampires further enhances this state. It's not a fluffy concept, but a practical tool for effectiveness and high performance. Enthusiasm leads to better focus, attention to detail, and pride in work, ultimately resulting in better sales, increased attractiveness, and potential promotions.

    • Momentum and enjoyment in workSurround yourself with enthusiastic people, focus on benefits, take pride in details, and master momentum for effortless, enjoyable work.

Controlling your momentum and finding enjoyment in your work are essential for personal growth and success. Surrounding yourself with enthusiastic people and celebrating small victories can help create natural momentum. It's important to focus on the benefits of the work rather than just the work itself. Even in unfulfilling jobs, taking pride in the details and creating positive energy can lead to improvement and future opportunities. Mastering the skill of controlling momentum takes time and effort, but the payoff is a life where work feels effortless and enjoyable.

    • Turning mundane jobs into stepping stones for greater achievementsApproach every job with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a focus on self-improvement to create momentum and position yourself for future success.

Every job, no matter how entry-level or seemingly insignificant, holds the potential for significant growth and success. It's essential to approach each job with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a focus on self-improvement. By maximizing opportunities and developing valuable skills, one can create momentum and position themselves for future success. Passivity and a lack of initiative will not lead to growth. Instead, individuals should take control of their circumstances and actively work towards their goals, just as one would in the gym or any other area of life. By cultivating momentum through consistent effort, individuals can turn even the most mundane jobs into stepping stones for greater achievements.

    • Focus on benefits, celebrate small victories, and maintain a productive daily routineTo achieve success, focus on the benefits, celebrate small victories, establish a productive daily routine, surround yourself with positivity, eliminate negativity, and take conscious action based on motivational content.

To achieve success, it's essential to focus on the benefits rather than the work, celebrate small victories, establish a productive daily routine, surround yourself with positive influences, and take conscious action based on motivational content. Eliminate negative and neutral people from your life, and be harsh about maintaining boundaries. Remember, success is challenging, and it requires determination, discipline, and the right support system. Consuming motivational content is helpful, but it's ultimately up to you to execute the practical steps.

    • It takes consistent effort and dedication to develop skills and achieve successDeveloping skills and achieving success requires action, writing things down, and consistent effort, not just motivational content.

Developing the skills and achieving success requires years of conscious effort and dedication. It's not something that can be achieved just by listening to motivational content. Instead, it's important to take action, write things down, and force yourself through the steps consistently. The speakers, Andy Fressella and Vaughn Kohler, emphasized the importance of practice and putting in the work. They also announced that they have several books coming out, including their first one around November or December, which promises to be unique and unlike anything that has been done before. So, if you're looking to make progress in your life, remember that it takes consistent effort and dedication, and don't be afraid to take action and put in the work.

    E2. Self sabotage

    E2. Self sabotage

In This Episode, You Will Learn To:

          Identify self-sabotaging behavior

Recognize your negative patterns and triggers

          Create a healthy replacement behavior

Practice the new behavior until a habit is formed

    Let’s talk about self-sabotage.

This is a topic that we ALL struggle with! It doesn’t matter what level you are at nor how enlightened, it doesn’t matter how successful you are or how grateful you are for the life that you have: self–sabotage does not discriminate. You are not alone!

So, why? Why do we do it? Why do we work so hard to realize a dream, an ideal job, a diet, a business, a partner, ideal finances, and then stand in our own way?

Today we will unpack the 3 most common reasons that we self-sabotage, learn to recognize our triggers and gain the tools to begin creating new habits to keep us moving forward with our goals.

    Action:

    • Identify Your Triggers! Is it Steve and his homebrew, binge-watching TV or smoking cigarettes every time you drink? You will lessen the power that your triggers hold over you, just by identifying them!
    • Now that you can recognize what triggers your cycle of self-sabotage, WRITE DOWN what you are replacing this limiting belief or negative behavior with. You can’t expect yourself to choose better at the moment, so you have to start reconditioning yourself before the trigger appears again. Don’t rely on self-discipline. Instead, rely on healthy, practiced habits!
    • Beware the stories you tell yourself.  Stop reliving old chapters and following comfortable, destructive patterns. You are not tied to a label.  You can decide each day. You can CHOOSE, who you are today.

    • How to prioritize your tasks for greater productivity
    • The benefit of creating a master task list to get your day started right and help you accomplish more
    • Tried and true techniques to help manage your time and increase your efficiency

    Time management.

I have an unusual obsession with this topic. I read books on it for fun and I am constantly learning new ways to be more efficient with the one thing that we are never guaranteed…time.

My dear friend and author, Tammy Ingraham, always reminds me, “Time is Life’s money, be careful where you spend it.”

We wake up feeling energized, ready to tackle the day and before we know it, it is time to get ready for bed. Where did the day go? And more importantly, did we accomplish the things that we set out to do? Many times, the answer is no. We know we were busy all day BUT…sound familiar

In an age where there are so many things to easily distract, we need to have a plan of action when it comes to protecting our time and making the most of this precious resource.

Let’s talk about the ten techniques that will help you master time management so we can increase our focus and get things done!

    Action:

    • Download a timer! It is a game changer for productivity! Modify as needed.
    • Prioritize. Prioritize. Prioritize.
    • Set up your day the night before! Do not waste your morning trying to figure out what to tackle first.

    • The proper steps to maximize success and protect your amazing brand

Trademarking. Essential for your business but NOT for the faint of heart!

As a business owner at the start of your trademarking journey, you will understand very quickly how arduous this process can be. It seems like an endless amount of steps (Forward! Backward! Side to side!) when it comes to where to start and how to make it through the hallowed gates of actually having your name, business, brand, and products trademarked.

    In this 2 part series, let’s Cha-Cha!

Today, we will share the basics on how to get started, free resources available to anybody with internet, how to keep your expectations in line with trademark realities, and a cautionary tale of finding yourself (and business) on the wrong end of trademark infringement.

With a little research, trustworthy resources, and a whole lot of patience, YOU can make it to the other side of this and have the peace of mind knowing that your hard work will be protected.

Stay tuned for Part 2 as we get expert advice and discuss the nitty-gritty details with our own trademark attorney Lara Pearson of the Lake Tahoe based firm, Brand Geek.

    Action Steps:

    • Identify a name for your company with your target audience in mind. Arguably the most important step but again, choose several names as “THE” perfect name is...probably already taken. Adjust expectations—let’s PIVOT! (8:32)
    • Check the patent office at uspto.gov to see if your names are available. (9:30)
    • Have the name searched through an actual agency!!! (10:45)
    • Once you have found a name that is available, have your lawyer submit an opinion letter and a proper trademark application. (11:28)

    Suggested Resources:

Namecheckr: Free website that checks available names across several platforms, including social media. (14:55)

uspto.gov : Free name search tool through the U.S. patent office. (15:11)

Remember, these two websites are an excellent way to start your search but if you are building and scaling a company, protect it by investing in a qualified professional specializing in trademark law.
