Bullied to Bodybuilder: A Story for Teen Girls

Bullied to Bodybuilder: A Story for Teen Girls

When she was young, Gemma was put down about the way she looked by her friends and family. This created emotional damage that affected her life for years – and multiplied the pain from trauma she experienced after a tragic loss in the family. She turned to bodybuilding as a sort of release, and defence / avoidance mechanism to hide from this pain. After spending years actively working through her past, she’s in a much better place now. Today, Gemma is passionate about helping young girls work through bullying, building their character and sense of self-worth. She believes that with the right support, girls can recover and heal from emotional trauma quickly before it impacts their lives in serious ways as adults.

I explore this topic with Dr. Tracy - a highly experienced educator, small business consultant, entrepreneur and master coach.
