Deliberate Discomfort with Jason Van Camp
About this Episode
Today, Jimmy interviews an old friend from West Point, Jason Van Camp. Jason is a former Special Forces Operation and Green Beret major and author of Deliberate Discomfort.
His book follows the lessons he learned, stepping up as a commander and taking over a team of Special Forces veterans. He describes the dramatic and traumatic experiences of war they faced firsthand and uses a team of scientists' expertise to help explain how civilians can apply these combat lessons in their own lives.
In this episode, Jimmy and Jason analyze some of the significant lessons learned and compare them to the entrepreneurial and leadership path. They discuss that if you want to grow in any way, shape, or form, you have to deliberately make yourself uncomfortable.
