    Podcast Summary

    • Election as a battle of weirdnessThe US presidential election is no longer solely focused on policy differences and democracy, but also on perceived weirdness used as a tactic by both parties to gain an edge.

The US presidential election is no longer just about democracy or policy differences, but also about perceived weirdness. Both Democrats and Republicans are using this as a tactic to gain an edge. While Democrats are labeling their opponents as weird for their policies and personal behaviors, Republicans are accusing Democrats of being weird for their support of certain causes and individuals. This shift in messaging shows that the election is becoming more about image and perception, rather than substance. It also highlights the increasing polarization and animosity between the two parties. Democrats are trying to frame Republicans as out of touch and extreme, while Republicans are trying to portray Democrats as radical and weird. Ultimately, this tactic may not be effective in changing voters' minds, but it could help mobilize the base and generate headlines. The election is now a battle of weirdness, and both sides are digging in their heels.

    • Abortion rights debateThe Supreme Court's Dobbs decision returned abortion rights to the states, sparking a polarized debate between Democrats and Republicans, with suggestions for court reforms and ongoing efforts to shape public opinion.

The ongoing debate around abortion rights in the United States revolves around the recent Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which returned the issue to the states. Democrats are framing this as a "war on women," while Republicans argue that Roe v. Wade was unconstitutionally legislated from the bench. The conversation also touched upon the issue of presidential immunity and potential reforms to the Supreme Court. Some suggested term limits and a binding code of conduct, while others criticized the idea of court packing. Overall, the discussion highlighted the deeply polarized nature of the abortion issue in the U.S. and the ongoing efforts to shape public opinion and legislative outcomes.

    • Supreme Court's independenceThe Supreme Court's independence is crucial to uphold the law and maintain a balance between branches of government, despite political pressures or concerns of imbalance.

The Supreme Court's role in American politics is a contentious issue, with accusations of corruption and imbalance arising when one party controls the presidency and the court appointments. However, it's essential to remember historical precedents and the importance of the court's independence from political pressures. The idea of term limits for Supreme Court justices has been suggested to ensure fairness, but implementing such changes would require significant constitutional amendments and consensus among various political entities. Ultimately, the court's role is to uphold the law and maintain a balance between the branches of government. The current political climate may raise concerns, but it's crucial to examine each case on its merits and avoid partisan biases.

    • Politician's criminal immunityPoliticians in the US do not have criminal immunity, impeachment is a political process, and focus on policy and improving the country is important.

Criminal immunity does not exist for politicians in the United States, including presidents. Impeachment is a political process used to remove someone from office, not a criminal proceeding. The focus of political discourse should be on policy and improving the country, rather than name-calling and personal attacks. The identity of politicians, such as race or gender, should not be a deciding factor in voting. Kamala Harris's laugh or being a woman has no bearing on her qualifications or ability to serve. The ongoing criticism of Harris is based on her perceived incompetence and lack of value to the political realm. Doctored videos or personal attacks do not contribute to productive political conversations.

    • Free speech and parody on social mediaElon Musk's repost of a parody video sparked controversy, highlighting the gray area between humor and potential harm. Vice President Harris' presidency faces challenges, including inflation, immigration, and opposition from the Republican Party.

The use of parody and free speech on social media, particularly regarding political figures, has become a contentious issue. Elon Musk's reposting of a parody video of President Biden and the subsequent reaction from politicians highlights the gray area between humor and potential harm. Additionally, the momentum surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris' presidency is a significant development in the ongoing political landscape, with many questioning her ability to maintain a strong campaign and address pressing issues like inflation and immigration. The Republican Party's ability to create controversy and their opposition to President Biden has also been noted as a potential challenge for Harris' campaign. Overall, the conversation underscores the importance of navigating the complexities of free speech, political satire, and the impact of social media on modern politics.

    • Political unforced errorsUnforced errors, such as insensitive comments or offensive actions, can harm political campaigns and distract from important policy discussions. Apologies and clarifications may help, but it's crucial for politicians to be mindful of their words and actions in today's highly polarized climate.

Unforced errors, such as insensitive comments or deliberate offenses, can be detrimental to political campaigns, especially when they involve sensitive topics or large groups of people. JD Vance's past comment about childless women and the offensive portrayal of the Last Supper at the Olympics are examples of such errors. These incidents can distract from important policy discussions and potentially alienate voters. Apologies and clarifications may help mitigate the damage, but it's essential to understand that some groups may be more sensitive to certain types of offense than others. It's crucial for politicians to be mindful of their words and actions, especially in today's highly polarized political climate.

    • Olympics and double standardsThe Olympics highlight the importance of treating all offenses equally, regardless of who they may offend, to maintain impartiality and respect for all.

There seems to be a significant double standard when it comes to offenses and accountability, particularly in the context of the Olympics. While a seemingly harmless comment about women took an English commentator's job, the desecration of a religious symbol, offending over two billion Christians, went unpunished. This inconsistency highlights the importance of treating all offenses equally, regardless of who they may offend. Additionally, the conversation touched upon the ongoing culture wars and the frequent use of social issues as a political tool, with the Olympics becoming the latest target. Ultimately, it's crucial to strive for impartiality and respect for all, fostering an environment where everyone can enjoy the festivities without fear of offense.

    • Perception of OffensePerception of offense varies greatly among different groups, influenced by power dynamics and historical contexts. Empathy, respect, and open dialogue are essential for bridging divides.

Sensitivity and offense seem to be more deeply rooted in certain groups than others, leading to animosity and power imbalances. The speaker shares experiences of double standards and the impact of offensive jokes and actions, particularly towards marginalized communities. They argue that humor should be universal and that people should be able to laugh at jokes without getting offended. However, they acknowledge that power dynamics and historical contexts can influence the perception of offense. The discussion also touches upon the importance of understanding the reasons behind offense and the role of power and privilege in shaping societal norms. Ultimately, the speakers call for empathy, respect, and a willingness to engage in open dialogue to bridge the divides that sensitivity and offense have created.

    • Women in sports and religious freedomThe importance of respecting women athletes and their choices, while ensuring fairness and equality in sports. Religious freedom and political ideologies should not be used to undermine the spirit of sports and competition.

The discussion touched on various controversial topics, including women in sports, religious freedom, and political ideologies. One point of contention was the comment made about women athletes doing makeup during competition, which was perceived as disrespectful. Another topic involved the comparison of Christians being upset over Olympic ceremonies to the former U.S. President's immigration policies. The conversation also addressed the misconceptions about Obama's and Trump's immigration policies and the issue of transgender athletes competing against biological females in sports. Ultimately, the conversation emphasized the importance of focusing on fairness and equality in sports, especially for women. The discussion also highlighted the need for factual accuracy and avoiding misinformation or misrepresentation of facts.

Harry & Meghan Steal The Spotlight, Again?

Most seriously of all, she was diagnosed with cancer.

But this week, to our great relief, she announced that she’s beaten it.

Of course, these days we’re not allowed to have nice things.

Social media critics and some commentators called it “contrived,” a “cringe fest” and - in perhaps the most damning critique of all - “like something Harry and Meghan would do.”

As you might imagine, I disagree.

In a late entry for the most tasteless and despicable deed of the summer,

Harry and Meghan released an advertisement for their new documentary - about polo - just 90 minutes after Kate’s announcement.

Bill O'Reilly: Did Kamala Harris Move The Needle?

Eric Weinstein On Presidential Debate & Beyond

Eric Weinstein On Presidential Debate & Beyond

Dr Eric Weinstein, who first coined the term “intellectual dark web”, is a superstar of the alternative media space.

Millions watch him for his challenging and sometimes contrarian views on science, culture and politics.

In February this year he predicted what he calls “The Switch” - the replacement of President Joe Biden with Kamala Harris.

Weinstein now rails against how readily “The Switch” has been normalised and says that - even as a lifelong Democrat - the party has lost its mind.

    So, who is he backing?

And what are his predictions for the debate, the election and the world beyond November 5?

    Winston Churchill & WW2 Revisionism

    Winston Churchill & WW2 Revisionism

Sir Winston Churchill is almost unanimously regarded as a hero in Western society.

In this country we voted him the Greatest Ever Briton; ahead of Shakespeare, Charles Darwin and Sir Isaac Newton.

Churchill had significant flaws, including some caustic opinions and brutal decisions which were very much of their time.

    These flaws are widely-acknowledged.

But not when it comes to the Second World War.

Rallying the country to defeat the Nazis has always been considered, well, a good thing.

Last week, history podcaster Darryl Cooper appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show in a now-viral interview which included the claim that Churchill - not Hitler - was “the chief villain of the Second World War.”

As we’ll see, it didn’t stop there.

Debate has raged ever since. Not just about Churchill but about whether free speech and free-thinking applies to something as binary as historical fact.

Eminent historian and author of "Churchill: Walking with Destiny", Andrew Roberts joins Piers to dissect the case.

Followed by a debate with 'Part of the Problem' podcast host, Dave Smith & Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon

    Is The Harris Honeymoon Over?

    Is The Harris Honeymoon Over?

Is the Harris Honeymoon is over?

Latest poll puts former President Trump a point ahead of his rival for the first time since the great replacement of Joe Biden.

And that is despite 50 straight days of a Soviet-style programme to rebuild the Vice President as a visionary cultural phenomenon and a beacon of joy.

There are many possible reasons for this.

But one of them may simply be that ordinary Americans are getting fed up with being told the sky is green and the grass is blue.

Dick Cheney is a case in point. For the past two decades he has been the bête noire of American progressives; a racist, warmongering supervillain who only became vice president because the Supreme Court - ironically - stole the 2000 election.

But now he’s endorsing Harris, and her campaign wants you to know that it’s because he’s saving democracy.

Joining Piers to debate this & more, streamer Destiny, Xaviaer DuRousseau from Prager U, Host of Emily Saves America, Emily Wilson and Jill Stein, who's campaigning for the third time as the Green Party's candidate for president

Snow White & The 7 Controversies

Snow White & The 7 Controversies

When Disney executives signed off a big budget remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, they probably thought it was a very safe bet for a company in dire need of a hit.

A time-honoured fairytale - beloved by millions - which spans generations, borders and creeds.

    What could possibly go wrong?

    Well, almost everything.

Rachel Zegler, who stars as Snow White, condemned Prince Charming as “weird” and “a stalker,” adding that she “hates” the original.

Leaked photos from the set revealed that the seven dwarves had been axed - replaced by multi-racial and gender non-specific magical humans - after Peter Dinklage said it was “backwards” to cast real dwarves as dwarves.

Disney responded to the growing controversy by delaying the movie for a year and replacing the magical humans with CGI garden gnomes.

They feature prominently in the first trailer, which dropped over the summer.

More than one million people have “disliked” it on YouTube, making it one of the most-hated previews in cinematic history.

The cherished fairytale has become a grim morality tale for meddling Hollywood hacks.

Audiences watch movies to escape the hectoring, virtue-signalling insanity of the modern world - not have it ladled down their throats

    Rabbi Shmuley vs Candace Owens

    Rabbi Shmuley vs Candace Owens

Regular viewers of Piers Morgan Uncensored will understand the gravity of the following debate without explanation. To the unseasoned, Rabbi Shmuley and Candace Owens have maintained a bitter feud over at least two years, having accused each other of everything from hypocrisy to lying to outright bigotry. Shmuley heavily criticised Owens for her embrace of Kanye West after his antisemitic tirades. Owens has hit back, claiming that Shmuley has harassed her publicly, blackmailed her and twisted her statements to present her as a hater of Jewish people.

Their personal grudges aside, the two firebrands are passionate voices for their own communities, something that Piers is eager to tap into. So finally, after years of vitriol, Piers Morgan is joined on Uncensored by both Owens and Shmuley for the first time. Their opening statements set the tone for the discussion, and no one should be surprised that they were confrontational.

The two combatants by and large debate the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, and nail each other to the wall on what they have and haven’t said.

Editor’s note: Rabbi Shmuley has asked us to make clear that he was unaware Candace Owens would have access to a laptop during the debate. This detail was not discussed with either party beforehand.
