A Word of Caution As You Plan for 2024
2023 is coming to an end and 2024 is at our doorstep. Many of us have wrote our visions for what we anticipate for 2024 but I wanted to remind us that as we vision cast, let's do it in humility.
James 4:13-16
One of the most common questions that people ask is what is my purpose? Why am I here? More than that, some people struggle to believe if they have a purpose at all. On this episode, Arika Davenport (https://shepursuespurpose.com/) and I talk about what purpose is and what it is not, how to know if we've discovered the purpose God created us for versus if we are making up our own path, and a host of other things. You DO NOT want to miss this one!

In this episode, I talk about love from the perspective of Gary Chapman's book The Five Love Languages and how they can be expressed in not only your marital relationship but in all of your relationships. Take a listen and share with someone you love.
I've really been working on my temper! It's not always easy to hold my tongue when I actually have a lot to say- especially when someone insults me - but it's worth it. Lashing out is easy, controlling your temper takes the power of the Spirit. In this episode, I share how I'm growing in this area and I encourage you to do the same.
It's my birthday!!!!! I can't be more excited because I'm going on a little weekend getaway. For me, this wasn't just a want, it was a need. Life has been hectic and I need to remove myself from the hustle and bustle of life for a few days.
In this episode, I get to talk to my husband, Onaje, about the importance of rest. Join us as we talk about this super important topic and share a laugh or two.
It's so easy to look at our lives and see what we don't have or what's not going right but it takes maturity (and practice) to instead be thankful. In today's episode, I share 5 reasons why being thankful is important.
January 4, 2022 my prayer was that God would help me to keep my eyes on Him. I am most content when I do that but when my eyes wander, I get super discouraged. Discouraged about where I'm not, what I haven't yet accomplished, what goals are still unreached, etc. I promise you, when you and I learn to keep our eyes on Him-CONSISTENTLY- we will be much better off.
Ugh. Who likes confrontation? I know I don't. However, when done right and for the right reasons, confrontation is actually a good thing. In this episode, I discuss what confrontation is, why we sometimes need to do it, how we do it, when to do it and to whom we do it with. Hopefully by the end of the episode, you'll hate it a little less (fingers crossed)!
It's that time of year. The time when everybody is running around like a chicken with their head cut off. The time when everyone is hurried. The time when everyone is stressed (probably more than any other time of year). It's the holidays! Yep, the holidays. And while this should be a joyous and exciting time, many are drowning in anxiety. If this is your situation, this episode is for you! In my conversation with author and pastor Adam Mabry, we talk about why rest is such a wonderful gift from our great God. Honestly, the rest we talk about is really for our lives all year long, but I think it will be especially good as we enter this holiday season. So, my friend, take a listen in...

The Art of Rest: Faith to Hit Pause in a World That Never Stops
Something kind of funny happened with one of our daughters- something that children do all the time. But, it's just not children doing this- we adults do it too. Take a listen in and see what it is we do that sometimes we don't even realize!
In this episode, I had the priviledge of speaking with author Jill Savage (https://jillsavage.org/) and she gave such a beautiful perspective of motherhood and the process of letting go. She gave some great insight on some of the many emotions we may experience as we groom and grow our children to go out into the world. I hope that you enjoy this episode as much as I did.
