President Oaks seeks to eliminate misunderstandings about why the Church of Jesus Christ believes in marriage between a man and a woman and that gender is an essential characteristic of individual identity. Understanding is the key to eliminating contention.

One way to know Jesus Christ better is to become acquainted with His many names and discover how to be more like them. He is known as "The Word", "The Light" and "The Way" amongst many others. Elder Schmitt confesses to a list of over 300 hundred and growing.
Elder Eddy speaks of putting God to the test as we "Try the virtue of the word". We discuss these topics along with the two talks by Elders Eddy and Schmitt from the October 2022 General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Elder Denelson Silva's talk and the two remarks by President Nelson: Focus on the Temple and What is True. It is easy to hide our faith or fear being mocked for our beliefs. We reference these talks as we discuss the difference between defending and proclaiming the gospel.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are often asked why there are no crosses on our churches or why our members don't seem to wear them. Although there is no official reason for this, it has caused many members to speculate as to why that is. The talk by Jeffrey R. Holland, Lifted Up Upon the Cross, given at the October 2022 general conference is our main reference. But we also challenge all those who do wear the cross to reflect on why they wear it and what it means to them.
This week we discuss the talk given by Elder Andersen in the October 2022 General Conference about how we can draw closer to Jesus Christ. We share some of our own experiences as well (like how much we love the Chosen!)
We discuss Elder Gong's talk from the October 2022 General Conference. Although the topics are forgiveness and repentance, there is a high emphasis on our human relationships. As social animals we need other people. Even loners and introverts need other people (although in smaller doses).
This week we discuss the talks Beauty for Ashes by Sister Kristin M. Yee and Be Perfected in Him by Elder Paul V. Johnson. Both were given in Saturday afternoon session of the General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We focus on the themes of forgiveness and grace.
We discuss the talk Follow Jesus Christ with Footsteps of Faith by President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
We review the talks by emeritus Seventy member Elder Joseph W. Sitati and Young Men General President Steven J. Lund. The theme is discipleship and how to keep those patterns in your life especially after experiencing those spiritual highs in life.
We discuss President Nelson's message to the world about overcoming. Overcoming the world is being able to survive and thrive in happiness with complete confidence that there is more to life than what the world thinks of us. We love this talk and are sure you will too.
