Elemental Forms

It's been too long folks. But I am actually revamping everything here on my podcasting site. Mainly gonna be drum n bass but I would like to get another Urban Saturation episode and possibly another Liquid Sorrow... but who knows. I am halfway done with Elemental Forms IV so that will be next. But Elemental Forms III is a throw back to old school DnB. Mainly gathering tracks from the Moving Shadow Label but with other labels in there as well. a bunch of these tracks are from my record collection which I don't use enough... but please listen, enjoy and tell me what you think. This was supost to be a mix for Halloween but I'v been extremely busy. It has alot of tracks from Aphex Twin, and Delerium. After all the cheesey horror movies I've been watching lately, I started to pick up on my more gothic mood of atmosphere. You know the frightening feeling you get in a strange victorian house, or when you are in a dark place all alone... I love that tone of mood lately. so here is my attempt to recreate that feeling through some of the songs in my collection. Enjoy... -Phrigid-

This is another "intelligent" drum n bass mix I did after listening to the original Elemental Forms. It's a bit darker sounding then the first but still got a spacey airy feel, great for night driving. Climate Changes Welcome again folks... Sorry for a slight delay on the episode. But this time around I decided to make a ambient set for the change of Summer into Fall. Which, by the way, happens to be one of my favorite seasons. I was going to actually play this set with me talking... kinda like a radio style show but I figure noone wants to hear my voice over these tracks if you are trying to sleep to it. And this is a very good set to relax or sleep to. Also this set has a track that takes me back to my childhood. Well I see I'm getting hits... I surprised but thrilled that people are listening... I would love to hear what people think?... Comments would be awsome... On the same note I'm thinking of doing a mellow indie rock podcast... I have a hard time mixing these songs so you might hear me actually talk and do a real podcast if I do it. Scarey huh? Anyhow... sometimes you have to go back to your roots... I grew up listening to a wide variety of music. But for a long time I was entranced with the world of the mellower style of drum n bass, or so called "Intelligent Jungle". LTJ Bukem became my hero along with his Good Looking Records artists such as (at the time) Blame, Seba, Intense, Big Bud and more. With a Style different from the dark brooding, bass heavy sounds of the traditional drum n bass, this style incorporated more jazz, ambient, and not-so-hard textures over crisp, lush, complex beats. So this is a tribute to a style I don't hear so much anymore.
