    About this Episode

Are you one of the many couples who has decided to postpone their wedding?  Have you considered keeping your original wedding date and doing an Elopement instead?

On todays episode my guest Stacy and I talk about what elopements look like today. This is a great way of being able to keep your original wedding date, keep the traditions you want, while still adding your special touches and save a bit of money.

Let's face it, 2020 has really put a damper on so many things, especially weddings. However, it is also a good time to be creative and do something different. Many couples are postponing to 2021 and 2022, but, finding a venue with your date available is becoming very challenging due to the current couples already booked on those dates and those couples that have postponed.

My friend and fellow planner, Stacy from Sylver Wedding and Events and I discuss the many advantages of an Elopement ceremony.  It no longer has the mysterious, negative stigma it had many years ago. Today, many couples are choosing to Elope for a variety  of reasons, so tune in and see if having an Elopement wedding is the perfect option for you!

Dating in the Millennial Age, How things have Changed - Episode 27

Are you a Millennial navigating through the dating scene? Now, throw in a pandemic and how does that change it?  How does this relate to weddings and marriage? It doesn't, however, it can, if you meet "Mr. or Mrs. Right".  I have received several questions recently about dating, especially during COVID and I figured it was time to talk about it.  Since I have been out of the "dating" scene for a really long time, I decided to turn to 2 experts.

On todays episode my guests' are two twenty somethings who educate me on what it is  like to date as a Millennial.  Lauren Solinsky is a 24 year old single young women and Vinny Kyamko-Yap is a 29 year old single young man. They answer my questions honestly and they share  their thoughts and challenges on dating in todays culture.

One thing for sure, dating is a lot different today than it was back in the day...

I Now Pronounce you Husband and Wife...Or Do I? Why you need a Licensed Officiant - Episode 23

Aww..your wedding day, it's a day you will always remember and you want it be special and personal.  But will it be legal? Well, that all depends on who you have officiant your wedding.

More and more I am hearing stories from couples who had a friend or family member get ordained in order for them to officiate their wedding, but, more often than not, they run into problems when it comes to nerves, showing up late, not knowing how to fill out the marriage license or having the couple file the license themselves.

On today's episode my guest,  Allan Katz from Great Officiants and owner of The Cute Little Wedding Chapel in Long Beach discusses the importance of using a professional and licensed officiant to oversee the most important part of your wedding day...your ceremony and vows.

Too many things can go wrong when you do not use a licensed officiant and Allan and I discuss all this on this episode. So, take a listen and share it with all your engaged family and friends.

To say that 2020 has been a crazy year is an understatement. Everyone is adjusting to a different normal; businesses have closed, people have lost jobs, most schools are doing distance learning and events have been cancelled. Wow! He decided to hit the road and bring joy and hope across America!  Dominiq packed up his DJ equipment into his car and drove 20k miles across 48 states in 2 months DJ'ing virtual and live dance parties!
