Enjoy the latest installment of the EN DIRECT series. Vol 8 was recorded live at Boleo in Chicago. I had the pleasure of playing with my brother in music, Sound Culture for his weekly Friday, "Future Listening". It's a trip to play with someone you've known for more than half of your life and what a treat it was! It was also the first time I'd played in my home town in years! Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

This latest installment of EN DIRECT was from my birthday this past April. Anyone who's a performer can always feel eyes on them. At the third song, I feel eyes, I look up and who do I see? Joe from Gramaphone Records!! It shocked and surprised the hell out of me. I don't think he'd ever come out just to hear ME play. The other beautiful thing that happened was as I looked around, I saw young gay men and older gay men dancing to my beats! It felt like I was in Chicago and that always feels good! A good time was had by all.

Since moving to Austin six years ago, I had always been on the search for a good party. One that promoted togetherness, abundant love, nonstop laughter and most importantly, the boogie! Something that reminded me of Chicago, home. I heard about a local party, "Body Rock" and decided to check it out. The consistency of all that I had looked for, I finally found. You can't imagine my excitement when I was asked to play "Body Rock - A Tribute to Erykah Badu" with my D.A.M.E. sisters (DJ Mahealani & Queen Deelah) just ONE day before flying out to New York to open for Les Nubians! It was pure magic. Here is the final part of the live recording entitled, "EN DIRECT VOL 5".
