Mary is joined by Troy Korsgaden, President of Korsgaden International (which specializes in global marketing, distribution, field leader/advisor building, and technology strategies for many of the world’s largest insurance carriers and financial services companies) to help consumers redefine their role in the insurance and financial services industry now that the old model no longer works.

Mary is joined by Albert Cohen, Director of the Actuarial Science Program at Michigan State University, to discuss MSU’s approach to Actuarial education and how it relates to quantitative risk and sports analytics!

The WSIA (Wholesale and Specialty Insurance Association) offers a variety of programs for college students who are interested in learning more about the excess and surplus lines industry. Programs include internships, scholarships, symposiums, a research paper contest, and more. Joining Mary to break all of this down is the Senior Manager of Student Relations for the WSIA, Chris Timmerman!

Taking place at Davenport University's Lansing Campus, Lansing-area college and high-school students will be able to come in-person or join virtually to meet recruiters from the top insurance companies in the nation and learn about the many opportunities in this industry. Joining Mary to discuss this in detail is Shelley Lowe of Davenport University and Dave Vering of Michigan Farm Bureau!

The premier association for independent insurance agents offers resources for professional success including scholarships, internships, pre-licensing, and with designation programs. There are many opportunities for networking and career development through committee involvement or attendance at the annual convention or summer conference. Caryn Bedford, Chief Learning and Talent Officer for Big I Michigan, joins Mary to discuss all this and more!

It's that time of year! Classes for the fall/winter semester at MSU begin August 31st and joining Mary to give us all the information you'll need as we inch closer to that day is the Assistant VP of Community Relations at Michigan State University, Janet Lillie!
