Ep 4.1 - Dr. Robert Morris Jr.
Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with Broward College Professor, Robert Morris Jr., â95, â97. As a college Social Science professor, he delivers lectures and provides mentorship both within academia and through his non-profit, South Florida Village. Through this organization, he collaborates with community leaders to offer college readiness programs and mentoring support to students in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Committed to advancing social justice, he actively works to dismantle barriers that threaten democracy. Post-Colgate, he pursued further education, earning a Masters in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University and a Doctorate in Leadership and Education with a specialization in Exceptional Student Education from Barry University. During his time at Colgate, he made history by becoming the first African American elected as Student Government Association Vice-President, following a successful freshman year. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and African/Latin American Studies in 1995, and later obtained his Masters of Arts in Teaching in Secondary School Social Studies in 1997.
