• Scoring Records: We start off by talking about both Lebron and Caitlan Clark's all time scoring records.  Probably spent too much time on this one.   
• Ryan Garcia: Ryan is calling out Jake Paul, UFC fighters, the illuminati and anyone else that will get him some attention.  
• Tyson vs. Paul: Mike Tyson is slated to fight Jake Paul on Netflix this summer.  We share out take.  
• Married to a Hologram;  Hiram tells us about a story he read where someone is going to marry a hologram with combined personality traits of their exes.  
• RGV Shark:  There was a Great White shark spotted of the beach at South Padre Island this Spring Break.  

20-40 mins: BBQ Time

• Weber: I try out Johnny's suggestion of smoking  a Turkey breast on the Weber kettle.  This was another win.  
• Pork Loin: Johnny has another back yard hack as he smokes a whole pork loin that he bought for $7 to feed the family.  
• Family Meals: I share an article from Clark Howard deals where they talk about meals under $50 that can feed the family from any popular chain and fast food restaurants 
• 10,000 giveaway.  We talk about our nearly reached goal of 10,000 downloads and how to enter the giveaway.  

40-50 mins: Oscars 

• Oscars: Hiram gives us a rundown of the upcoming Oscar awards and gives his predictions.  Johnny talks about a movie that passes on his sleep meter rating system.   
• Best Birthday Plans: With my upcoming birthday,  Hiram wants to know what we all think is the best birthday plans we could make.

20-30 mins: BBQ Time

• Propit: Johnny buys a propit and cooks his first brisket on it over night.  
• Weber: Johnny is still smoking meats with his weber kettle despite having 100 smokers.  This time he cooks some baby back ribs.  
• Come back: Johnny revealed that our come back barbecue is most likely in San Isidro at the end of April 
• Smoking: Hiram asks what's the difference between indirect cooking and smoking. 

30-40 mins: Love is Blind

• Love is Blind: Hiram gives us a recap of one of the most popular shows on tv.  
• Toxic behavior: I ask the gang to rate from 1 to 10 with 1 being the easiest to 10 being the hardest to convince your significant other to go out to a bar, poker night, a cookoff, bachelor party, and other events.

• CBA Championship: Recap of the CBA Championship in Seguin as our compas Chiliin N Grillin get a 5th place call and are then celebrated for finishing 6th overall in Brisket and 9th overall for the year.  
• Thor's Hammer: Jaime and I cook a popular cut of meat known on Tik Tok as Thor's hammer.  Took longer than I thought but I share some tips and heads up if you are going to take on this challenge.  
• Johnny's Turkey Breast: Johnny cooked a 5 pound turkey breast on his Weber kettle and he share some cooking and cost saving tips for the Joe's how to smoke some turkey and eat healthy.  
• Hiram's Dinner: Hiram talks about breaking dry January and some fo the dinner outings he had .  

30-40 mins: Random Internet Stuff 

• EA NCAA 2025: We talk about how NCAA football video game is coming back after 11 years off.  
• Choose a Syfy device: I ask the guys to choose between an Iron Man suit, Lightsaber, Star Trek teleporter, and Men in Black Mind Eraser.

In this episode Hiram and Jaime joining me fresh from watching the NFL Championship games.  Hiram starts of off by telling us about his experience watching his team play in this game.  It also looks like Taylor Swift made it to the Super Bowl as her boyfriend's team (as the kids say) was able to make it once again.  We talk about what that is going to be like for her and the Kelce family and will she make it on time from her concert in Japan.  We also talk about the WWE Royal Rumble and the scandal of Vince McMahon.  Elon Musk is back with a brand new invention. 

20:00-30:00 BBQ Time
Smokin on the Rio is coming up and it's got the internet in a frenzy.  Find out what big changes has everyone so upset and even some saying they will not be attending this year.  We give some shoutouts to some barbecue friends of ours that won cook offs over the weekend and mention the PDAP Courage to Change Cook Off.  We'll have a follow up podcast on that one coming soon.  

I ask the guys if they would smash or pass on some interesting meat dishes such as a giant beef rib burrito, smoke steak queso, brisket and cheese stuffed onion rings, Jalapeno popper pigs in a blanket, mole tamales and a steak cake.  

30:00 - 40:00 Slang Words 
I put the guys' street lingo to the test as I ask them to define some pretty modern day slang words.  I think we know more or less what have of them meant and some we looked up and still couldn't figure out.  I also give the guys a top 25 list of the most hated or words that people are tired of.  We finish off talking about some triple-black air force ones and yes guys that's what they are called.

This creates a call back to an earlier episode where we talked about what type of food to eat on a first date.  I ask the guys what they think of the WAGs or Wives and Girlfriends of famous athletes.

The PDAP Courage to Change Cook Off is an annual barbecue competition held in Edinburg, Texas on January 27th, 2024.  The cookoff is coming up this weekend and we continue to help make it grow.  We may even have some live events or some podcast material for next week.  I ask the guys to think back on 2023 and tell me what is the best dish they made or had at a restaurant. Seems like the choices are unanimous.  

30:00 - 40:00 2024 Goals 
We talk about our goals for 2024 and even had the Joe Army chime in on Social Media.  Some of the answers are what you would expect.  I plan to go to LA which snowballs into a story of when I went on a tequila train in Mexico many moons ago.  We bring back the Red Carpet segment as Hiram tells us about the upcoming Oscars and his latest experience at the movies.   This somehow leads into talking about exotic types of boots and Jaime wants people to respect his lamb boots once he buys them.

We ask Nadia if Taylor is bigger than the NFL and she says yes.   Some suspect that Al Michaels has been pulled from any playoff broadcast because of comments that he made about her being a side show.  Taylor doesn't care what the Dads, Brads, and Chads think and we may end up watching the Eras concert after the podcast.

Looks like we'll be competing in this one.

I ask everyone what they are eating for Christmas dinner.  We had all kinds of answers from Prime rib roast, tamales, menudo, and brisket.  This year it looks like we'll be having brisket however no one is having turkey.  We ask Hiram what they eat in Los Angeles but can't get a clear answer out of him.  Looks like no one eats in La La land.  
The guys close out the podcast talking about Nick's mustache again.

BBQ Time - We talk about our most recent cookoff as we didn't quite do as well as the last time but still managed to get a top 5 overall call.  I talk about how I just don't get how judges can differ from one week to the next but that's the name of the game.  I talk about our upcoming cookoff in January 2024 and tell the guys that the Spazmatics will be headlining the musical performance.  We prepare the audience for another appearance of Captain Mike on the season finale and hopefully he cooks us up some good eats.

I give the guys a choice to talk about Elon Musk or Mark Cuban.  Apparently they still aren't interested in having multiple topics but at the same time won't ever come up with any of their own.  Elon Musk would have a nice response for them.  While Mark Cuban want to build a mega casino in Dallas.  We close it out by talking about what to take to a white elephant party.  We also talk about buying a xmas gift for someone you just started dating.  Tune in next time for our season 5 finale.

He's talking roof top bars, fire dancers, super old famous restaurants and even some late night entertainment of the dancing persuasion.  Jaime argues semantics as he doesn't like the way Hiram talks about a Boxing fight.  You'll have to hear this one for yourselves.
