Navigating the waters of parenthood comes with a myriad of challenges, now a-days, skin care is one of them. And I don't mean washing your face.

Social media and influencers, have created a craze, aka trend, for skin care that extends beyond the basic of washing, moisturizing and even sun screen. Tweens and teens are obsessed with serums, face masks, and other more "next level" treatments that are not only expensive but cause damage.

I was inspired to ask Astrid back on the podcast after she posted an article on Today.com about Tweens and the Skin Care Craze. 

Tweens are Going Wild in Sephora and Parents are Getting Blamed.

I happened to see Astrid post the article on LinkedIn and had just seen all the kids in a Sephora in Merrick Park Mall, Coral Gables, Florida (part of Miami, Florida) hanging out after school. I was stunned at how many kids were just hanging out in Sephora.

I also recently visited with a good friend of mine, here in The Florida Keys, and her 10-year-old daughter is into the craze as well and has a nice collection of skin care products from a line called Bubble. 

Tweens (teens, kids, young adults) and skin care is a hot topic on many levels. In this podcast, we are discussing how trends, money, our parents behaviors, etc. can end up manifesting in different ways in our lives and we end up needing to work on rewiring ourselves later in life.

These things can deeply affect our belief systems both positively and negatively and having this conversation is crucial for emotional health, mental health, physical health, and financial health awareness.

I may ruffle a few feathers with this podcast, but I am okay with that as this is my belief system and what I have found through experience to be true.

In this episode of The Success Codes Podcast, I share my thoughts and experience with Human Design and other personal development assessment tools such as DISC. There are also tools that relay on the client to answer questions such as Myers Briggs, HBDI, BANK, and Enneagram, to name a few.

Human Design is a self-discovery system that combines ancient wisdom with modern science (Astrology, I'Ching, Kabbalah, Quantum Mechanics, Chakras) to help individuals understand themselves better. It offers a unique perspective on personality, relationships, and life purpose, providing insights into the strengths and challenges of each individual.

Coaches and mentors (like myself) often use assessments as powerful tools for helping their clients in their personal development journey. As a spiritually led coach/mentor, I use Human Design to better understand my client and also help them understand themselves and others. Human Design is also a great relationship tool as understanding how we are all different but perfect, creates a sense of understanding, compassion, and peace.
