    About this Episode

Jesus said He was the way the truth and the light... but, if truth is relative, how do we know what is true? And how can we know what is Christ-centered versus a version of Christianity that isn't actually what Christ taught at all?

In this episode we establish truth for what it IS versus what so many say it is.

And, Charity shares what she feels so many women are experiencing now - a "capping" of who they are ...

    Let's dive in!

Ep 110: Jesus Never Told Us to Stay Silent (With Mark and Amber Archer of Fearless Features)

Today's world would like you to believe that Christians are not meant to be involved in any issue deemed political. In fact, they would like you to believe Christ's followers should not have a voice standing against anything immoral either.  However, neither of these beliefs in founded on what Christ exampled. And, as followers of Him, we are called to stand against moral devolution in all spheres of influence in our society.

Our guests today aim to do just that.

Mark and Amber Archer are the creators of Fearless Features, a film company who boldly faces current issues in our culture and reveals the truth behind the facade.
In this episode's conversation, Mark and Amber share their journey of how they came to make honest, truth-filled films, how they choose the topics they tackle, and what God has shown them in the process.

Get ready to be encouraged to do what you can to help engage culture and take a strong stance against the lies trying to take the lives of our children.

Ep 109: The Truth About Submission to God

Ep 109: The Truth About Submission to God

Have you ever wondered what submitting to God actually looks like? In a world that seems to constantly be moving the "goal posts" of the standard of following Jesus, it's easy to lose sight of what Christ examples for us and directs us to do.

In this episode, you will hear a simple "call to action" for how to truly submit your life to Christ. In addition, we will reflect on the danger of allowing our culture to dictate Christ's call and standard. (i.e. allowing our faith to be judged by the standards of culture, rather than the standards of culture being judged by the truth of the Gospel).

Get ready to enjoy honesty, the truth of God's word, and encouragement.

Episode 108: How to See God in the Middle of Suffering with Darci Steiner

Episode 108: How to See God in the Middle of Suffering with Darci Steiner

If you've ever suffered - and I mean really BIG pain - you know the feeling of emotional waves crashing over your soul. Perhaps you've wished to just make it all end. Or cried out to God and wondered where He is.

Darci J. Steiner knows suffering. And she also knows God. But, where is God in the MIDDLE of the suffering?

Today we talk with Darci about suffering, God's unending love, God's goodness, and a generation of kids who need to know how to find God in the midst of suffering.

Once you're done, you'll want to read Darci's book (or perhaps plan a meeting with her!). Find her book and all information on her site: darcijsteiner.com

    More about Darci:
Darci J. Steiner is an author, inspirational speaker, and nutritionist. She has served in full-time ministry and assisted with church plants in Denver and Los Angeles. In 2001, Darci nearly lost her life after a debilitating fall down the stairs in her home. During her recovery, she earned her Master of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition and implemented natural remedies into her diet that helped save her life. When Darci became disabled a second time after a foot injury in 2018, she wrote her award-winning debut book, Beauty Beyond the Thorns: Discovering Gifts in Suffering. Darci speaks about how God uses suffering in our lives to bring about spiritual healing. She and her husband enjoy two adult daughters, a son-in law, and a baby granddaughter. They live in the Denver area.

Ep 107: How to See Your Body as "Worthy" with Amy Connell

Ep 107: How to See Your Body as "Worthy" with Amy Connell

Do you ever treat yourself like you aren't WORTHY of the sacrifice it takes to be healthy? (Not super thin or "a super model"... just, healthy?) Most of us don't if we're honest. In fact, many of us treat our bodies like they are here to carry our head around, or lug kids to soccer, or make dinner.

But what if we realize we are meant to treat our body with love? Sacrificial, unconditional love?  Well, that, my friends, would be a game changer. One full of grace and one that might just keep us motivated.

Our guest today, nutrition and health trainer, Amy Connell, has been teaching women to do just that. To treat your body as if it's actually worthy. (She even wrote a book to share her passion with us!) And, in today's episode, we talk about that very thing (and so much more!)

As Amy puts it, "Your eating, movement and body don't have to be perfect...you just need to be able to do what you're called to do". Treating your body rightly helps you complete your calling.

Simmer on that... then push play and hear what Amy shares about what she has learned in her journey of struggling to accept health - not performance, not the world's "ideal". True God-centered health.

Ep 106: How to Free Yourself From The Fear of Conflict (with Jerry Fu)

Ep 106: How to Free Yourself From The Fear of Conflict (with Jerry Fu)

Who doesn't want to end conflicts quickly and as painlessly as possible? Well, with the help of people like Jerry Fu, you can do just that.

Jerry Fu is a conflict resolution and leadership coach who is, quite frankly, a needed part of the body of Christ. He is certified in leadership coaching through the International Coaching Federation, Talent Optimization through Predictive Index, and Emotional Intelligence. He is also a pharmacist(!)

Trust me, you'll enjoy Jerry's honest, straight-forward, kind manner as well as the skills he lays down in this episode. And, you'll probably want more of Jerry's wisdom. Luckily, Jerry offers coaching to individuals and teams.  Find him at: https://www.adaptingleaders.com

More about Jerry: I was born in the United States, growing up in a Taiwanese family. I encountered conflicts at work, in culture, and within myself.

I didn’t know how to handle any of it, and I didn’t know where to look for help.

Worse, I lost a job because I continually avoided conflict with an upset boss. But getting fired was the wake-up call I needed. I had to adapt myself and improve as a leader, which meant engaging the conflict I disliked so much. Ironically, my ongoing struggle with conflict became a fascination. Now, I help others take on the same challenges.

"Dopamine Nation" by Dr. Anna Lembke*

*Please note, these authors do not profess a Christian faith. However, their scientific and professional reality reflects that of how God made our brains to work and how He wants us to be separated from this world (i.e. not addicted). They are excellent resources, but, do not assume they are going to use scriptures and verse. They use science to back up how God made our brains to work.

102: Taking Modern-Day Inspiration from the God-Warrior John the Baptist

102: Taking Modern-Day Inspiration from the God-Warrior John the Baptist

We've all heard of John the Baptist. Many of us see him as an eccentric accent in the story of Jesus and His disciples. But, a large amount of theologians consider John the Baptist as the MOST important figure in the New Testament second only to Jesus.

So, why do so many of us sort of skip over his importance? Probably because we (including myself before this deeper dive into his life) lack the understanding of history and exactly what he did as the last Old Testament prophet.

But John's life is a miracle from the word "Angel". He is set apart, he is vocal, he is a truth-teller unlike any other. And we have so, so, SOOOO much to learn from him which is relevant to the modern church today.

In addition... John is the first trumpeter of Christ. From the womb he knows Christ's very presence. Not to be ignored, the baby-become-God-warrior is a treasure and distinctly inserts himself into the Christmas story and beyond.

So, join us on this episode for a revelation or reminder of John's life, bravery, and meaningful actions so many of us can draw inspiration from today.

In addition, for all you arty-types, stay tuned for a spoken word poem at the end. :)
