I’ve always thought that what the world is sorely in need of today is critical thinkers. Now I realized it is not that they are not there, it is that their perspectives have been kept from the mainstream due to their ideas being perceived as a threat to some ginormous corporate interest that has kept it out of the headlines. This is such a story that will definitely affect you personally. If you know your homocysteine levels or know that they are high than you better listen up.

The question I keep asking myself is why is it we always hear about that some people can’t or don’t get positive results with a Ketogenic diet (aka Low Carb High Fat). Whether it is the Virta Health study or any one of various Obesity and Lifestyle Clinics around the country. It is pretty much common knowledge that about 50 % will get positive results, which usually mean weight loss or reversing diabetes. However that also means that 50% of those attempting the LCHF diet did not find any positive benefit for their efforts. 

WHY IS THAT THE CASE?

This discussion is about exactly that. Going over some our collective (anonymous) results to reveal some of their common lab markers, metabolic problems that may have been an Invisible Obstacle for these people. It was only by looking deeper into areas that hadn’t been examined before, a Metabolic lab panel, Hormone panel, Intracellular nutrient panel, and Genome analysis, that we found problems that they didn’t know they had which could be easily improved and then make the Ketogenic easy to implement.

There’s two concepts that drive my passion for learning about and helping people implement the ‘Keto’ life style, and those are: 
1. In order to be healthy in a progressively unhealthy world we need to think and act differently, and2. In order help people regain their health ( weight loss in this instance) one needs to look where where others haven’t looked in order to see, to understand, what others haven’t seen or don’t see. My point is that things have become more complicated today in terms understanding obesity and weight loss than it was 50 - 100 years ago. For some, this is the long a waited topic, conversation, that many feel represents their experience most accurately.  It's for the people who have endured the often unnecessary work of getting started with the Ketogenic diet only to have it become a thoroughly frustrating time and effort. For others, this might be too ‘granular’ in terms of talking about the specific variables required to create a successful outcome. For me it has become a realization in my ‘quest’ of how to have Keto work for everyone (barring specific medical conditions). The realization is that living in a progressively more unhealthy world we have to think about what it takes to be truely healthy in a different light.
