    About this Episode

Most of us have heard of the many benefits of meditation, but—like with all things—knowing you should be doing something is very different from actually putting it into practice.

As someone who has explored multiple types of meditation (and has finally built a semi-regular meditation practice), Jandra spends this episode of The Wildest Podcast talking about a beginner's guide to meditation—including practice tips on how to start meditating, finding the right kind of meditation for you, and how to make your meditation practice "stick".

Episode #021: How to Be Creative (or Productive) When You're Struggling With Your Mental Health

For anyone who struggles with anxiety, depression, or any other mental health issues, it can be hard (if not impossible) to stay creative — or even productive — during those times. Not everyone has the ability to take time off, which means sometimes we're left to push through and find ways to stay creative even when we're feeling at our worst.

In this episode of The Wildest Podcast, Jandra shares her own experience with depression and anxiety, including how she finds ways to stay creative when she's struggling, how to move forward when things get hard, and small things you can do to help keep yourself afloat when it feels like you're drowning.

Episode #018: How to Use Energy Management to Transform Your Productivity

Episode #018: How to Use Energy Management to Transform Your Productivity

When it comes to productivity, most of us have learned to address time management issues first. We want to learn how to do more with the time available to us, and—while that certainly makes sense—there's also a natural limit to how much you can improve your productivity because there are only so many hours in a day.

In this episode of The Wildest Podcast, however, we take a look at energy management, why it's so important, and how to learn your own habits and patterns so you can use your energy levels to optimize your day.

Episode #017: Real vs. Scripted Vulnerability (and Why It Matters)

Episode #017: Real vs. Scripted Vulnerability (and Why It Matters)

We've all heard about why it's so important to be authentic and vulnerable, but in today's episode of The Wildest Podcast, I want to talk about a concept I like to call "scripted vulnerability," aka the tendency to cultivate a more comfortable and almost filtered version of vulnerability.

While there's nothing wrong with scripted vulnerability, this episode discusses one of the pitfalls of this habit, why real vulnerability is so impactful (especially in today's society), and how to practice being more vulnerable in your own life.

Episode #015: What to Do When You Feel Like You've Hit a Wall

Episode #015: What to Do When You Feel Like You've Hit a Wall

Many of us are familiar with the concept of “the pandemic wall,” aka feeling like you’ve hit a point in the pandemic where you just don’t know how to continue, especially since — thanks to lingering vaccine hesitancy in the United States — we don’t really know when the COVID-19 pandemic is going to end. Add in the stress of climate change, political turmoil, human rights issues, and the war on women’s bodies, it comes as no surprise that depression rates have tripled since the start of the pandemic. And — with 67% of U.S. adults reporting increased stress levels according to the American Psychological Association — if you’re feeling like you’ve hit a wall, you’re definitely not alone.

In this week’s episode of The Wildest Podcast, I share about my own experience in feeling like I’ve hit a wall, what I’ve done to help cope with that feeling in the past, and different strategies you can use to help you move through this feeling in your own life.
