Episode 1: Welcome Back College Football

In this the first ever episode of CWood's Ball About the South Podcast, show host, CWood (Carey Wood) recaps the huge Labor Day Weekend of College Football and examines several other topics including the New England Patriots releasing Cam Newton in favor of Mac Jones, more NFL talk with Jameis Winston winning the starting QB job for the New Orleans Saints, and a quick look at the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Rays pennant races. Also, covered on the show is a quick look at some of the offseason moves by the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans of the NBA. However, the main focus of this episode is college football. CWood takes an extensive look at the top players and matchups from the SEC, including the LSU Tigers loss to UCLA and the possible consequences of that loss for head coach Ed Orgeron, the huge win for the Georgia Bulldogs over the Clemson Tigers, also the huge win for the Alabama Crimson Tide and their new QB Bryce Young, and finally more recaps of the past weekend's action around the SEC and a recap of all the HBCU Football action including Grambling vs Tennessee State in the Black College Hall of Fame Game and the Orange Blossom Classic between Jackson State and Florida A&M (FAMU). Also, Game Balls are awarded to the best performer of the weekend from the HBCU ranks and the SEC.......
