    About this Episode

At 18 months, a shift happens in children that can last for many years to come. That shift is independence, curiosity, and learning of boundaries. As parents, we can sometimes find we are caught in limbo when we get here, and suddenly, sleep is the first thing to derail. This episode is for you if your child won't stay in their bed, won't sleep through the night, takes short naps, or is waking up before the roosters come in and find you.

In this episode, I share why kids get out of bed and what you can do to keep them there effectively.

Episode #143 - Debbie Marini and Helping Children Learn They Are Never Alone

Join me today for an inspiring conversation with Author Debbie Marini, who is on a mission to help children understand they are never alone. After her son lost his best friend to suicide and her own house burned to the ground twice, she has learned to lean in and trust a higher power, helping children through her new series of books, which I am excited to speak about today. Our conversation I found to be so inspiring and I am thankful to have met Debbie and you will be too!

Debbie has combined her background as a mental health advocate with her training and experience connected to Spirituality to reinforce to youth the belief they are never alone. She holds a Masters's Degree in Human Behavioral Psychology, a Reiki Level 2 Certification, NLP Practitioner Certification, and has successfully completed the Mental Health First Aid Trainer Certification for Adults and Youth as well as the Resilience Certification at UPenn. The collaboration of her experience in the mental health arena with her journey surrounding spirituality has culminated in a children’s book series dedicated to her granddaughter that introduces God and spirituality in a relatable way. Debbie’s mission is to bring to light the awareness that we are all a part of something bigger and never alone.
