    Episode 6: Cereal, Killer

    Episode 6: Cereal, Killer
Cereal is a podcast from this American life (sorry Sarah Koenig but cereal is more American than Serial so I'm stealing your elevator pitch). Cereal tells one story - a true story - over the first course of the day, breakfast. Quite literally the Morning Star, cereal follows a hauntingly similar plot arch to that of Lucifer. From humble beginnings created during radical religious-based dietary movements of the latter half of the 1800s, cereal has fallen from a healthy alternative to the "evils of coffee" and overindulgence of morning sausage consumption to a primary sugar blasted processed grain barely considered food. Join us as we try the worst junk cereals of 2018.

Episode 5: Holiday Snack Sack Pt. 2

Episode 5: Holiday Snack Sack Pt. 2
Part 2 of our Holiday Special. We try a disgusting Peppermint Twinkie, classic Christmas Tree Cakes, another Oreo variant (😅), and wash it all down with our pod favorite...Cheerwine Holiday Punch! We also discuss the etymology of localized sprinkle lingo. Post-pod research, it turns out 'Jimmies' probably isn't an euphemism -- but the urban legend has become implanted enough that it's probably best to avoid the term. We've included the Snopes link in the show notes which inspects the origin of the word (and sprinkles itself) and provides great historical context. Oh and our special guest Amanda gave up at some point in the episode. TOO MUCH SNACK. Special Guest: Amanda Price Rone.

Episode 4: Holiday Snack Sack Pt. 1

Episode 4: Holiday Snack Sack Pt. 1
The holiday season brings our first guest, Amanda Price Rone, who was nice enough to let us force feed her junk food on her stateside visit. Amanda teaches at a school in the Southeast Asian nation of Myanmar and my guess on how her post-xmas interactions with students go... Students: Amanda, how was your trip back to America? Amanda: I ate my weight in Twinkies and Christmas Tree Cakes. Students: This tracks. 🇺🇸 Part 2 will drop tomorrow (Friday, Dec 20). Special Guest: Amanda Price Rone.
