    About this Episode

    The humble return of the renewed Alaskast Podcast! We took a small hiatus from producing episodes of The Alaskast but we are back! Life and COVID my have put a small damper on the production. But with new equipment and a renewed spirit we are here to give you what you have been missing, more episodes of The Alaskast. We have received a lot of positive feedback on our previous episodes and very for grateful our listeners.   

    On this episode we lay down an outline on where we plan on taking the Cast and future episodes. Austin and Landon leave a bread crumb trail of future endeavors without giving up to much of the juice.  Other topics discussed include - the "new normal", big life, changes, business in the front party in the back, moving to Utah...not, hunting competition, breaking expensive things on hunts, the durability of MSR stoves, being scared to death by a grouse, killing a mountain lion stalking your hunter partner and much more!

    The Alaskast crew -  have a real conversation with Alaska Fishery's Board Member Israel Payton.  Israel is a true Alaskan if there ever was one! Born and raised on the river banks of Central Alaska. He grew up with a fishing pole in one hand and rifle in the other,  living off the land and valuable wilderness  skills.  He was driving a boat before most kids learned to ride a bike. This lifestyle created a jack of all trades from boat building and plane flying,  to a fishing and hunting guide. He was taught to fight for what he believes in and stand up for the little man, and because of these beliefs  he joined the Alaska Board of Fishery's. Other topics include: hunting and fishing regulations, proposals, the salmon pie, "ocean conditions", epic king fishing, snowmaching to school in -40 below zero, of course the epic story of the world record moose and much more!!
