We're just about done with 1985, a year we've been in for a loooooong time, and we're in that mode of Kermitment episode where we're watching a bunch of random junk we missed throught the rest of the year. This week, we watched the interstitals from a series of Muppet Show compilations on VHS that give us the increasingly-rare opportunity to hang out with the non-baby versions of some of our favorite Muppets!

Picture a Muppet: cute, felty, googly eyes, right?

That, my friends, is a Creature! And we're gonna start seeing a lot of them as Creatures start popping up more and more in non-Henson productions. Productions like Dreamchild, a thouroughly depressing story about the real Alice in Wonderland featuring some thouroughly disturbing Creatures!

If this were August 1985, I could say to you "I just got back from a movie where a childish, naive character goes on a cross-country journey to reclaim something lost, meeting outlandish friends and enemies along the way," and you'd have to ask me "do you mean Pee-Wee's Big Adventure or Follow That Bird?" Maybe not a particularly interesting observation, but I think it's neat. Anyway, we watched Follow That Bird, not Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.
