Episode 2 - The Rubber Boa

In our 7th episode we are joined by Mike Stefani of Mike's Monitors to discuss Kimberley rock monitors.  The Kimberley rock monitor gives you all the personality of a large Australian monitor in a pint-sized package.  We discuss the proper husbandry for these great little monitors.  Mike also explains how he keeps his lizards as well as how he has built his amazing enclosures.  The Kimberley rock monitor is a great beginner monitor both because of size and temperament.

In our 6th episode we talk about the Kenyan sandboa.  This small boa species is amazing in its own right.  We discuss the natural history and care of Kenyan sandboas. We also touch on the many color and pattern morphs the have.  The Kenyan sandboa is the most popular species of sandboa in the hobby and a great pet snake as we discuss in this episode.

In our 5th episode we are joined by Zach Goodnow of  Equatorial Ecosystems.  Zach has a diverse collection of reptiles and amphibians but on this episode we are going to focus on glass frogs. We discuss natural history and captive care of glass frogs.  We also talk about how they have come to be in the hobby and how easy or hard they are to keep as a pet.

In out 4th episode we are joined by Chuck Poland of the Reptile Fight Club Podcast.  Chuck keeps and breeds many species of day gecko.  What these lizards lack in size they make up in amazing colors.  We discuss natural history and captive care of these great little lizards.

In our third episode we are joined by Daoist Monk Yun Rou, author of books Turtle Planet, Exotic Pets and much more.  We talk with Monk Yun Rou about his experiences in the hobby and his thoughts on reptile keeping.  We take a deeper look into how we should view keeping these amazing animals and the changes Monk Yun Roe has seen with the hobby.

In our second episode we talk about a species that is very close to our hears, the rubber boa.  The three of us talk about our experiences with them and go into their natural history.  This small North American boa is an amazing animal with some extraordinary skills and very under appreciated in the hobby.
