Episode 237: Parenting Little Humans
Parenting is a hard. What am I doing wrong? How do I turn things around? The Bible has the answers and encouragement we need to faithfully raise these little humans.
Now is not the time to get comfortable, lose heart, or fall asleep. No, stay awake! It is the command of Jesus to Christians living in a dark world nearing the end. Yet what does this look like in our lives? How do we overcome the heaviness and weariness?

As Christians, we are to go and make disciples. The harvest is plentiful and the workers few. Let's obey God by praying for opportunities, going where it is uncomfortable, while remembering the blessing of doing what we were made to do.
We live in a culture that says that truth is found within ourselves and we should live out that truth. It is a lie. There is one God and He is the only source of truth, and it is in Him that we will find what we are truly searching for.
In a world full of anger, malice, slander, jealousy, filthy language, being hated and hating one another, biting and devouring each other, God calls us to be devoted to one another in love.
We are all influenced. Do the biggest influencers in your life drive you closer to Jesus or pull you further from him?
What God desires for us as his disciples is so much more than we often realize. Being brought to faith means a new mind, new desires, and a new identity - all tied to oneness with Christ.
Isaiah 40 is a powerful chapter in the Bible that gives a stark contrast between God and ourselves. It is a humbling, yet needed reminder from God and it drives us to a proper place of awe, humility and obedience before Him.
God knows that we need Him. It is why God established numerous ways for the people of Israel to remember who He is and what He has done. As Christians, we should continue this practice, commemorating our amazing God with our children every day.
You belong. It is not because you have discovered yourself and found people that accept you as you are. No, our belonging is rooted in the God that created us, knows us, loves us, redeemed us, and called us.
War has been in the news every day this year and our emotions are running high. Which side is going to win? How long will this last? What if more countries are forced to join? War is an important topic to talk about as Christians. God addresses war, actually two kinds of war, in the Bible and His words offer us the strength and peace to live through these tough days.
