Almost out of High School in 1988, a 17 year old Erik could see the light at the end of tunnel. Armed with comics and Stephen King paperbacks he navigated his teenage years in his first car, a beat up Toyota Celica, looking for shit to do and horror movies to watch!

1987 was a good year for your host Erik. He turned 16, got his drivers license, got his hair cut like Tony Hawk, met a group of guys that he is still friends with to this day, learned to play the guitar by listening to The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" a bazillion times, discovered The Beatles White Album, and watched every horror movie that he could! Basically, our little Erik was becoming a man.

38 years ago the first cinematic portrayal of Hannibal Lecter hit the screens in the adaptation of Thomas Harris' novel Red Dragon. A young filmmaker named Michael Mann brought his unique style and vision to the story and crafted a film that has lasted the test of time. Here to discuss this classic film are actor Paul Clemens (The Beast Within) and comic book writer / artist Stephen Bissette (Swamp Thing).

Not quite into girls just yet, this year of his life was mostly devoted to comic books. '86 was a BIG year for comics with titles like The Dark Knight and Watchmen changing the medium forever and Erik collected them all. He also watched a shit load of horror movies, natch.
