Episode 3 : Out To Pasture. The Lee Vista Years!

With the construction at the Citrus Bowl and Tinker Field, Earthday Birthday yet again moved, this time to the Central Florida Fairgrounds. Unexpected performances from Rock Royalty, and unexpected emergencies, like the great RV Fire at EDBD 24 are just some of the tales from behind the scenes that you'll hear! But with more room, the festival was able to grow to what it is now! While Lee Vista and it's vast footprint was appealing for Earthday Birthday, the location and built-in amenities left a lot to be desired. The City of Orlando approached WJRR about moving to Tinker Field, the small baseball stadium next to the Citrus Bowl, with the festival. What followed were 7 years full of wild times, and hard rocking! Did Scott Weiland almost miss the show when Velvet Revolver headlined? Who ended up on stage introducing Cypress Hill? Earthday Birthday grew out of it's Downtown Orlando venue, so the search brought us to a big field by Orlando International Airport called Lee Vista Center, where the festival stayed for 3 years. Rob Zombie's pyrotechnics at Earthday Birthday 9, the incredible lineup of EDBDX, and the once-in-a-lifetime onstage performance from Metal Royalty at Earthday Birthday 11. WJRR was looking for a new home for Earthday Birthday's 6 to 8!
