Episode 4 - Laughter is Resistance (Ft. M. Addison Hooks)

A week ago the world lost King T'Challa, Chadwick Boseman. In honor of one of the most unifying displays of art for Black Americans and Africans, we are dropping part two of Tami & Abi's conversation on the intersections of Blackness from the Continent to the States.

In a deluxe episode, Tami is joined again by her far left brother, Marcus. While the host rocks pink and green from head-to-toe, they discuss the racial, cultural, political, ideological and personal implications of Kamala Harris being named the Democratic nominee for Vice-President of the United States.

One of Tami's oldest friends, Abiosseh, calls in from Nairobi, Kenya to join this week. A Black Steel Magnolia in her own right, Abi discusses the relationship between Africans and Black Americans with Tami, sprinkled with pop culture and their personal history.

In Episode 6, Tami talks about the impact of words on the internet and making commitments to ourselves in this stressful and complicated time.
