These are just a few of the countless quotes from church leaders about the importance and power of womanhood. While mentions of women in the scriptures are comparatively less than men, the women in the scriptures are spiritual giants with the faith to move mountains. Eve, Rachel, Esther, Mary Magdalene, Abish, and Emma Smith are just a few of the countless strong, faithful women.

What does Christ think of women? How did He treat them in His day? How can men learn from His example on how to treat the women in their lives? How can these stories teach women about their divine worth? Perhaps James E Talmage said it the best: “The world’s greatest champion of woman and womanhood is Jesus the Christ.”

Politics. Its the topic of conversation that we avoid at the Thanksgiving Dinner table. Every day on the news we hear divisive reports of the president actions, a senator’s comment, or a local protest. The recent Russian invasion of Ukraine is worrying the whole world. And yet, divisive politics is not new to human society. Christ himself had to deal with politics, and dirty politics ended up with Him dying on the cross. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly 1 in 5 adults in the United States struggle with some sort of mental illness. As a consequence to the fall of Adam and Eve, we live in a world full of sin. Satan, the enemy of our soul, seeks to destroy us through lies and temptations. He wants us to distance ourselves from God through sin. God knew this would be the case, so He provided us a Savior.
