Episode 488: Ep 488: Chapel "The One and Only" (Mark by Mark)

Had to take a break from MarkxMark for a week due to no time. Ha! Biggest race event of the year and also the biggest paper I had to write this year for my Master's Class. One part of my paper really stuck out to me. This is what I'm sharing in this podcast.

To whom should we show compassion? In the second feeding of thousands bread and fish something is very different yet Jesus shows great compassion. Why? Not an easy concept to live out.

Jesus does a first when he heals this deaf and speech impaired person. God can heal anyone. God can heal us spiritually as well. God can forgive anything. God can do anything!

The only way you will be able to understand this title is to listen to this podcast. The greatest point of this section of scripture is this woman's extreme faith in Jesus. It is overwhelming. Her faith is what our faith should look like.

Of course you have hears? The question is; do you use them? Specifically, do you use them to listen to what God is trying to tell you. The disciples and people in Jesus day were so structured in man's traditions and the law that they couldn't hear what Jesus was saying. We need to clear all the excess out of our minds, hearts and ears and begin to listen to what Jesus has to say. What he has to say is life changing. 

Have you ever met someone who talked the talk but could never walk the walk? That is what this podcast is about. Saying one thing but believing something else. Not living what you preach.

I would love to be able to walk on water. Only two people have; Jesus and one another. They not only walked on water but very stormy water! And then they all teleported. Seriously! Ha! There are some really great spiritual truths to consider that will challenge and strengthen your work with the Lord. And, if you never get teleported on earth here from one place to another you certainly will one day if you have placed your trust in Jesus. From heaven to earth you will go. It will be awesome! :) 

Jesus and his disciples are exhausted so they plan a short getaway to the wilderness where nobody is. They get there and there is a gigantic crowd. What do they do? They do what they do best. teach, care for and feed them all. Thousands of them.

A filthy lifestyle. Incest. Conniving. Debauchery. Dirty Dancing. All of this in one of the chapters of the Gospel. The ultimate reason for the Gospel. John The Baptist beheaded and it was just an afterthought to the Gospel writers. Why? Just listen....

This is a little different. I lead worship at a Motor Racing Outreach Association conference. Our focus was finding a Timothy to carry on our Chaplain ministry that God has given us when we are unable to continue or pass away. Here are some of the take aways from the conference w/ passages from Psalms, Isaiah and Timothy.
