I hear this said quite often from younger people.  "I want to break generational curses."  What exactly does this mean?  Usually they want to have a better life than they had growing up.  They want to break toxic patterns of behavior.
Breaking generational curses can be hard.  Without God it is impossible.  You may break one generational curse only to trade it for a different one.

I am going to give you 5 steps to help you break toxic patterns and create a life for your family and future generations that involves following God.

I have heard people say, "I'm not judging."  I have also heard people slander and criticize choices of other people and not realize they ARE judging.  So what does the Bible say about judging.
You will need your Bible for this one and a notebook to take notes.
This was a hard topic for me to talk about.  I pray you take it as an instruction from the Bible and apply it personally to your own life.  We are not to learn more to "fix" others but so we can continue to be refined and grow in Christ so we can bear his image.

I am excited to shed some light on this topic.  I have been asked this question many times over the years.   
"Should we hunt Easter eggs at church? "
"But I thought, bunnies and eggs had to do with a pagen festival. " 
"Is pretending the Easter bunny filled my kid's Easter basket with goodies wrong?"
"Why can't we just make it all about Jesus."

I don't want to give you an answer that works for me, but I do want to show you scripture, give you some perspective, and through Biblical truth and prayer help you discern for yourself and your family what is best for you.
