    About this Episode

Asking a coach directly for a scholarship is like asking someone for money, depending on the timing and the situation. There are two points in time at which you can ask for a scholarship or a scholarship increase. That is, as a first year freshman looking at the opportunity, and once you are in college and have competed for a year, two years or three years. You don't ask a coach, you show them through your actions that you deserve a scholarship. You want the coach to ask themselves the question, "Should I be giving this athlete a scholarship?" Listen in to how you can ask for a sports scholarship.
