Episode 80: These Games Were Made For You And Me [Part One]

Run! Hide! And block your mouth and nose - Your Friend Frosty is sick as a dog. A very sick dog, and as such we welcome you to our first ever remotely recorded podcast. Mike Whiskey is way over there, Your Friend Frosty is way over here, and all that separates them is a laptop screen and a couple of recording applications. This should be interesting. But in the meantime, there's also reminiscing about the Halloweeny day this nerdy pair met, woes of a modern pharmacist, and some absolutely wackybats ideas on how to beat the cold and flu season - armed with onions and rendered chicken fat. No, really.

Infinite Lasagna. No, wait, don't leave, we have a point to make. Seriously. Your Friend Frosty and your bartender Mike Whiskey, having listened to far too much weirdness and wackiness online, have decided to weigh in at last on the world's most delicious controversy: the Infinite Lasagna Paradox. Yes, this is a thing, we swear. Grab your tablets and take a seat, this one's going to be hunger-enducing and also a trifle mathematical. Also, there's a guy in a barrel and we announce the official launch of our Patreon Page!!!

It's hard being as perfect as Your Friend Frosty. Yet, he's not without his quirks. I mean, just ask Whiskey. But this time, we're dealing with a specific one: submechanophobia. Yes, that's a real thing. As Frosty details how it all began for him and how merry submarines, electric hippos, and fake squids all send him screaming for the highest of hills, we also look into the amazing work of Jason Decaires Taylor and his underwater work of an entirely different kind. It's a wet episode, people, bring your wetsuits. 

So, that happened. The Super Bowl has come and gone, again, and your favorite nerds have decided that it must never happen again. That's right, they're co-opting the entire event and replacing it with something better, weirder, nerdier, and in all likelihood completely impossible. Hey, this is Your Friend Frosty's latest fever dream after all (and poor Mike Whiskey being dragged along for the ride). Go "sports"! Coming next year, the Bourbon Bowl! Heaven help us all. 

The year is 1994. Somewhere in Massachusetts, a pair of nerds are getting very angry at pixelated lions and multicolored monkeys. Objects are thrown. Tempers are flaring. And years later, we're still not over it. Yes, that's right - it's none other than the nightmare that was that infamous lion-based video game, one so beautifully bright and colorful but deceptively hard and evil. Call the therapists, we're ready to talk about it at last.
But first! Summer playlists are already in order, because Your Friend Frosty and your bartender Mike Whiskey are so done with winter...

The common cold has claimed Your Friend Frosty. Whiskey has fled for the hills. But not to worry, there's plenty to catch up on. Start with episode one and work your way forward.
