Exciting Changes Coming to the Star-Fall Actual Play Podcast!

You know those times when there is an offer you can not turn down? Yes we had one of those. Our computer repair shop MacMason was doing just fine. We were starting to build a larger customer base and very close to earning a profit. Then what happened was the computer store next to Lithgow Tech Services that did Windows computer repairs and custom Gaming PCs. went up for sale and the owner (Who is a friend of ours) gave us first offer.. and we took it. 

This meant that we had to hire employees, Set up all new vendors, and order stock. 

Not to mention the upgrades we made to the computer repair room. 

No time for podcasting 

However, this did mean that we did not have any time for podcasting at all. We hope that this will improve and have scheduled a new game next few weeks where we can start recording new episodes.

Hey folks we are currently in production of Star-Fall Series II with an all-new cast. That said we have not forgotten about the characters you know and love. Their story is not finished. 

The new cast is meeting about once a month to record. Already the players are starting to build good chemistry. Unlike our previous seasons, this cast stays sober during the game. This is also a smaller group. A few other changes for the podcast is that we are going to record and edit the entire season before publishing. 

We have updated the website for the Star-Fall RPG Podcast and Webcomic

Yes, that is right we now have a webcomic.  The new website has character Bios and information about the Star-Fall world. 

We also have a new Sponsor MacMason Training and Repairs. Mac and iPhone repairs in the Lithgow, Katoomba and Blackheath areas. 

Worry not folks we are still making Star-Fall. In fact, are recording again next weekend. 

When COVID -19 arrived to Australia I was made redundant at my work. (One Month after buying a house)  This shifted all our priorities to finding some way to make money. With all the jobs in the area also making people redundant or not needing my skill set at all.  This forced us to do something very risky at these uncertain times ... Start our own business 

So the last few months we have focused on Starting our Mac Repair and Training Lithgow. And have expanded into iPhone Repairs Lithgow.! 

What does this mean for Star-Fall Podcast? Well you should see some of the upgrades that were required by the new buisness!

We are also remastering the first season. We have listened to your feedback and we have moved a few things around and did a little more editing.

We have learned a lot about how to produce a podcast in the last few years. Computer upgrades and some new mics are going to make a huge difference in quality. So we are going to be remastering Season One of the Science fiction RPG Podcast 

This process will take some time. Some Audio we can only do so much (Crappy Mics at the time of recording) but overall we want to make a better show!  When that happens we are going to publish all the remastered episodes at the same time so you can COVID binge the whole thing if you like.

I got laid off my day job and have been focusing on starting my own business doing Mac Repairs in Lithgow. This has take up a considerable amount of my time.  That said I'm starting to feel the need to get away from the spreadsheets and into something more creative. Say a podcast that I have not touched in a while.. So editing for the podcast will start again tomorrow and I hope to have a few new episodes in the can shortly.

Originally we had recorded this episode for the Pateron backers only but with Covid-19 we decided that it would be a good idea to keep people from getting bored. 

In this episode, the players are challenged by eating dinner in character. The result was a lot of fun and we got to do a lot of character development and world-building without even trying. 

There is a new member of The Fifth Crew Etarip who is a space pirate friend of Lava's. I think you are really going to enjoy her character. 

This unique RPG challenge was really worth it. I recommend that you do this at your table. 

We start off season three on a sad note as the beloved Arkady was killed by the evil and insane AI Jorie. We join the adventures on a mission to the planet War-Zod. Along the way, they have a moment to mourn their fallen comrade. 

With the Australian bushfires and now covid-19 we have been late publishing.

Hey folks! We have started production on Season three. It looks like we already have 5-6 episodes recorded. Now that the Australian bushfires in our area is under control we will start scheduling more Game nights. There is even talk of streaming the game live on twitch! 

So why have we been late on recording the podcast?

Do you know what you do when you are sick in bed and have nothing to do? You animate Science Fiction News Reports. Well, that is at least what I do. 

For the existing fans of the show, this is not anything new except for the animation part. However, this is something that you might want to send to your friends so they can get an idea of what Star-Fall Actual Play Podcast is all about. 

I have always liked the idea of telling stories via news reports. This is because the new help shows what the people of the planet think is important. In this case, a new religion forces its will on an entire planet.
